[XLTVIBES#12] Drum & Bass / Jungle - ?

Hyakusen: Whatever you like, hopefully there'll be a bit of
variation (It'd be a bit boring to have it all tech stuff,
just like it'd be boring to have it all jazzy with minimal
breaks) :)

Dave: Well, 169 was the inital one Diablo suggested and it's
one I like too (looking at my unfinished DnB tracks, at
least 3 are 169). RE: Having time, I defo. want this one
finished and not to just stagnate, but that said, there's no
set deadline yet... currently just trying to get an
indication of how many people are looking to get involved.

well, Im interested in doing it, but I'm kinda busy with
designing a few bits at the mo. like a analogue drum
machine. think 808, but with different sounds, better
interface+tons of memory. 1 pattern of 8 drums with 16steps
per drum=roughly 240 something bytes, so use 2Mb ram chip!
anyway.....
i would really like to do some deep moody techstep sort of
stuff. god i hate modern dnb, this would be good cliched
sort of stuff, maybe even a bladerunner sample thrown in and
909 kick and snare for the booom cha bit. perhaps some sh101
and a evil bass that sounds like a bubbly fart ooozing out
of your arse....if you know what I mean.

So, Neurofunk then? ;)

Seriously though, I look forwards to hearing it.

yes. that was the word.but I couldnt think of it.
dunno why its called that, not very funky or neuroish...used
to be edrush n opticals site. neurofunk.com or something.
its RIP now.anyway yeah this thing sounds wicked. I've been
setting up synth sounds for the akai all night, and if it
wasnt for work I would maybe finsish it soon.

I am doing 28.166666666666666666666666666666666666 beats a
second for 10 seconds then 50 seconds of silence. Do you
think you will be able to mix it?

this is so cool. I can mix the thing, sure, and I think the
easiest way to submit the tracks is to send me a link to the
track via e-mail (phresch@hotmail.com)-and i'll download
them- Ceri JC: does this sound OK?

do not post links in here.

i really want as many as possible to try and make a
dnb/ragga/jungle/drill'n'bass track. it's good fun, and I'll
try to do my best mixing what i'm sure will be the best
xltronic vibes :D

Yeah, I'll time stretch it by a magnitude of 6 and then use
it as bridge between 2 other tracks.

Alberto: Re deadline

Read the thread!

Phresch: Is it okay if I contact you in a month or so to let
youy know whether I need you to mix it (I'd rather do it
myself on turntables if it turns out I have access to the
final scratch :-)?

Not decided on submission format yet. Likely to be one (or
more) of the following though, hosted on a website (your
own/something like Wire.fm or zebox) on an FTP you have
access to, via soulseek or AIM or MSN.

convert the track to mp3 but I am not sure can I get some
help from any of you guys? I have this lame encoder, I am
just not sure if it has to be converted to mp3 or not, and
if and when I do that who do i send the track to ?

When you say lame, do you literally mean "lame" (a sort of
encoder) or just that it's poor quality?

Don't mail the track yet, just post when it's finished and
we'll set about collecting the track from you when a few
more are done. By all means email me (see my profile) so I
can mail you with instructions and you don't have to keep
checking this thread.
