!!MY SPEEDOMETER IS BROKE?????

This really wasnt the greatest situation. I had been
drinking heavy yesterday and decided it was fine to drive
because i was like 7 or so blocks from my house. Just go in
a straight line and thats all. MY vision was not impaired.
Nothing horrible like that.

Anyways as i was pulling out of the parking lot i noticed
that my speedometer wasnt even close to working. It didnt
even budge. I didnt get it. So i guess its broke now. It was
working fine earlier.

Do you guys think i will be fine driving it today and
tomorrow? I was thinking perhaps getting it fixed sunday
because i have shit to do.

Like i have work today and it's not that far from me. I want
to see this girl and all that and have drinks around town
but i am perplexed.

hmm

"I had been drinking heavy yesterday and decided it
was fine to drive"

jsut don't go faster than any one else around you. or if
there's no one to pace yourself by, then just "guesstimate"

IMO regardless as to how much one drinks it all depends on
the effects you feel you are undergoing due to the alcohol.
My tolerence is higher as i drink alot.

If you meet the following criteria you are ok to drive:
No spinning vision
No double vision
No wandering eyes
Good balance
Good motor skills

but that is not the debate. Perhaps i should call auto
repair and see how long this would take to get fixed and how
much it would cost.

all be like "yeah thats kool i guess, you look like a good
kid"

if you drink more next time you drive, the speedometer
wouldnt really matter too much. that is unless you want to
tell this girl how fast you were going when you were drunk,
i'm sure that would really impress her.

yeah thats what i was thinking. But if i was say 50 miles or
more away from my house and i was returning at like 3-4am
that would be difficult due to the lack of traffic

Since pomme really is the only one who gave me any advice
whatsoever....along with goDel i have decided that i am
going to wait on having it fixed.

Virginpusher: If your speedometer is not moving, it's
because your speedometer linkage cable has gone kaput (if
you have an older car) if your car is newer, then it does
not have a direct linkage, but is computer controlled (even
if you have analogue dials). I replaced my wife's on her
1988 Nissan Sentra ages ago (went to a junkyard and found
one for around 30USD). Took about an hour to install it.
