radio show today @ 4PM EST (9PM GMT)

*cough* hello, mic check?

it's time once again for my weekly college radio program. i
decided to post 2 hours in advance this time after last
week's poor response. hopefully more of you will listen this
week, and please, chip in a comment so i know people are
listening. i spend a lot of time and effort each week on the
playlist alone. ok, 'nuff said.

today i'm playing new music from Madvillain, N.E.R.D.,
Squarepusher, and Tortoise, classics from Prince, DJ Krush &
CL Smooth, LFO, Front 242, and Afrika Bambaataa, plus Dose
One, Venetian Snares, Autechre, Aphex Twin, etc.

this is a must-hear show for xltronic regulars because i'm
playing more electronic music than usual. there's a segment
of glitch and there's an even bigger segment of electro &
EBM which i hope comes off well, as i've been looking
forward to it for literally months.

begins at 4 PM EST (9 PM in the UK), ends 2 hours later

*** streaming audio link here (Windows Media Player required) ***

the above address also has playlists from all the previous
shows

anyone who can prove they're listening gets a personal
shoutout on air as usual

i'll bump this back up closer to the show

by the way, this is one of the last few shows until fall

good electro tho :)

man, i'm gonna try to listen, but i'm afraid the firewall
here at work blocks this stuff. is there a stream up now i
can check it with?

cool, tolstoyed! i'd appreciate that. you've always been one
of my favorite people on here, not to slight anyone else,
but it's true! you've been around forever, you have great
taste in music, and you're so nice. i just wanted to say
that because i don't think sincere compliments get doled out
here enough, and i'd say this in any other thread because i
mean it. wow there's an emo moment!

yea you can check the stream right now, the show before me
is "modern rock"

btw dozier i am playing something from D-U-N-G-E-O-N
F-A-M-I-L-Y toward the end if i don't run out of time

btw qrter is straight ass for not responding to emails or
soulseek messages! not that it'll stop me from playing his
music on the show.

tolstoyed: yea i enjoy exposing people to new artists or at
least new tracks from artists they already know.. i hope
people look at the playlists if they have any questions

Dozier: dunno why it'd go through WinAmp, it's strictly
WMP.. i wish it were WinAmp, it'd run better. glad you could
fix it!

qrter: i don't know what to say, you have an email i sent
you in november you haven't replied to and i sent you an
email last week well in advance of the show to tell you when
your track would be on. i believe you that you didn't get it
till yesterday but it's just unfortunate.

sido: thanks! hey have you seen raimons? has he made any
more freshspray tracks?

I havn't seen Raimons in a while and lost track of his
numerous musical projects. He probably got some new alias
and style now the crazy bastard. He is so creative its
disscusting! You can chat with him on the net and suddenly
you notice he isn't really paying attention to the
conversation and voila he sends you a new track!?!?!
Sometimes based on something we where just talking about
like 15 mins earlyer!

He should do more fresh spray tracks tho! Those where funny
, i don't like his rock stuff.

i'm playing this nin song because i always thought "tied up"
was a bit of a nin pisstake.. nin or skinny puppy or
ministry or some other famous industrial group. turns out
mark bell had never heard anything by skinny puppy till
2002..
