dobbin do you like the roots? the drummer and main producer,
?uestlove, puts so much effort into his breaks. check out
the album Things Fall Apart for many good exaples. on the
programming and sampling side, most things produced by Jay
Dee also have amazing and very intricate drums.

the album the Common song is from is produed by ?uestlove,
jay dee, and a couple others for everything but that song..
you might want to give it a download, 2000's Like Water
For Chocolate
by Common

"hey you! hope you're not too buried with school work!!!!"

Doing some right now...
The end is in sight though, I'll be like this for another
week and then it'll ease off. Sorry for the delay with the
package I ended up just carrying it in the boot of the car
so that when I passed near the post office I could post it.

I like the stuff playing now. Quite cheesy and old
fashioned, but the kind of thing you could get down and
boogie too at a party with a very wide age range.

Eels - P.S. You Rock My World

Was nice too , never heard them before.
The singer reminded me of Bob Dylan.

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2004-04-21 16:34 [#01154980]

Sido, i can't download mp3's very well on campus unless it's
through an ftp so i doubt i'll be able to play "Sex Shooter"
anytime soon... funny request though and one i wouldn't mind
playing. btw, the eels are awesome! their first 2 albums are
2 of my favorite rock albums. the second one, where the song
i played is from, was a response to his (E, the singer and
main performer) sister's suicide and his mother's cancer. so
all of the uptempo songs have a lot of irony and melancholy
complicating it, and there are of course a lot of mellow and
reflective songs. total triumph of a record though. check
out.. "climbing to the moon" and "cancer for the cure" for 2
great examples and maybe pick up the album if you like 'em.

wow a lot of great compliments... *in best bjork impress*
SANK YOU!

I will check out your recomendations.
"Cancer for the cure" that title alone is genious!

Yeah the Apollonia 6 track is cheesy fun 80s funk =)
She was a beautyfull woman but couldn't really sing hehe!
The repeated guitar (synth ?) lick is really awesome.

Another request would be Ghostface feat Jadakiss - Run
Its an awesome uptempo track.
What album is that from ? (i know your a ghostface fan)
I have only heard it on a Bazooka Joe compilation/mixtape.
