Aint it great? And I wouldnt use a thin nedle either, I'd

gotta be easy for me, thats where the baby comes from; The
penis'll be alright as long as it still dispenses milky hair

Basically thats how america circa 1950 programmed them.
S'shame that mentality is still around. That sort of
breeding from stupid people produces alot more breeding from
stupid people that were begotten of those stupid people.

but how bout this... if you'd be willing to suck a guy off
just so you can artificially inseminate yourself... why not
let him fuck you and kill too birds with one stone?

no dick-in-mouth for you,

no needle-in-dick for mr. right.

it's a win-win situation!!

The thing is, there really is (at least some element of)
truth in the "biological clock" idea... even some women
vehemently against having kids (career women, ardent
feminists, etc.) "decide" to have kids when they reach a
certain age. They can justify this any way they want (I did
it for me, I wanted to bring a child into the world, it will
make me and my partner more committed, I feel the need that
some part of me should live on when I die, etc.), but
ultimately it amounts to caving to your hormones.

People (especially the non-fatalistic) don't like the idea
of how much hormones/genes/being human governs their actions
and often deny it outright, but it's a large part in the way
we behave.

Not really. It's just seeing a peadophile referring to your
son in some way or another is a little bit unnerving.

evolution programmed them that way. They're the ones with
the more expensive sex cells, eggs. Just look at breasts
which give nourishment which could otherwise be used for
themselves.

The probability that something will be wrong genetically
with babies is increasing, as people with genetic oddities
usually continue to reproduce thus passing them along. What
if you end up having some fucked up kid, conjoined retards
or something. Society wouldn't let you put it out of it's
misery. Just look at qrter for example. I'm sure he wishes
every day that his parents aborted him.

Here's a mindblowing question. If your mother aborted you...
what would you be? well... it makes you question what
exactly a "you" is.

On a related note, who reckons fertility treatment (problems
like quads and triplets, premature births, underweight
babies, etc. aside) should be available on the NHS (UK
healthcare funded by the taxpayer)?

Is it a "luxury" form of healthcare (that is, one not needed
to relieve you of pain/prolong your life)?

Arguably, even paying for sex changes is a more "just" use
of public funds (it's a hell of a lot cheaper than paying to
treat their depression)?

You thoughts?

yeah, more and more people need to Adopt. And it PISSES me
OFF that in most states, homosexuality is a just cause to
deny a couple parenthood. All that says to me is this
country wants to avoid as many homosexuals as possible, yet
claims equal rights for everyone. ((Keyword - CLAIMS))

"Here's a mindblowing question. If your mother aborted
you...
what would you be? well... it makes you question what
exactly a "you" is."

Yes, that's something I've been interested in for years...
how much could you change and still be you? For example, say
you went back in time and through your actions, caused your
parents to conceive you a day (or evena few minutes) earlier
or later, would you still be "you"? Would even just looking
a bit different change your life enough that your
personality would be significantly different?

Unless you adopt the religious idea that bodies being born
are simply "chassis" that souls are put into (hence the body
is merely a shell for your conciousness), there is no easy
answer...

that's not so much about genetics, but much more about
disturbing the past.

I mean, a whole day! all kinds of accidents wouldn't happen
to you, bad and good.

it could have profound effects on your personality, yes.

In this crazy existence you don't even know for sure if
someone of the opposite sex isn't someone with a sex change
operation, unless you grew up with them. And they could
always keep it a secret from you forever.

Oh I definately agree with you there.. I was just being an
arse ;)

The thing is, in my opinion the whole of human civilization
as we know it is so totally insignificant in even our
galaxy, let alone the entire universe, that we will NEVER
amount to anything organized or powerful or advanced enough
to exterminate other planets..... outside of our own.

Yeah, it costs £3000 for a sex change. To the NHS, that's
small potatoes. Treating that person for depression
resulting from feeling "trapped" in the wrong sort of body
over the course of their live can easily run to twenty times
that. I know a couple of pretty conservative (even
religious!) doctors/medics who, whilst being opposed to the
idea of sex changes, agree that it is the cheapest/best
solution in some cases.

I dont think the 'Room of Gaf' idealism is something thats
EVER made any sense to me. Its like saying we started out as
water bottles, then someone "Blessedly" filled us with
water....

I operate from a very Pagan/Shinto perspective. I believe
that 'You' is very subjective, because more than one, or
even 2 people can share the same "Soul" or essence. Sort of
like metaphysical umbilical cords. Look, I'd hafta be drunk
to ecplain exactly what it is I believe, but feel free to
ask me anything else. I'll TRY to explain my point of view
without appearing schizophrenic.

I don't want to have children.

to me, the responsibility would be mindblowing. I also come
from a very unstable family background, so I don't think I'm
equipped very well to bring up anyone.

on the other hand - lots of people I work with are dropping
children like rain. it does somehow move me.

There was good document on hermaphrodites on TV the other
week. I had no idea it was as common as 1 in 4000 children.

The way that sex change operations are becoming so advanced
is one of the biggest arguments (and this ties in with Key
Secret's law thread...) for making it mandatory that at
least a copy of the original birth certificate is kept on
file(showing a person's original sex) is to "protect" future
partners (particularly if it offends their religious
beliefs).

Can you imagine if you married a girl and only when trying
to conceive (unsuccessfully) did they level with you and
tell you they used to be male? Even if you stuck with them,
it'd be very hard to trust them again...
