the closest thing to the residents, that i could think of, would be primus.. not that they really "sound" like them.. it's just that they were really inspired by their weirdness and les's voice seems to be directly inspired/stolen from their singer. primus even do a live version of "hello skinny" and his voice sounds damn near exactly the same as the original. |

yes. it's not really "ha-ha" funny with jokes and such.. it just usually has a light-hearted feeling to it. i find it very refreshing, actually. i just said it was humorous, even though not all of it is, because it's extremely hard to describe in any other way. |
