One of the best Snares records I think. Most tracks have a solid groove to them.

Snares is difficult. Alot of his releases appear to be not up to my standards that i have for an artist who is signed by an actual label. This is one i have over looked but perhaps i will give it a chance.
I still feel as though we are watching this artist develop

I think he is refusing to develop...well, in the sense and direction that we all feel direction should lead.
Examples would be many of his tracks that would be masterpieces, except for the fact that he just veers off course.
My best analogy that I have come up with is losing control while driving.
His beats and patterns start weeving left and right on the road. More and more abstract, and stretching farther from the original form. Just when you think you are getting control of the car and things are starting to level out, WHAM! You get sideswiped by a semi doing 60.
I like it though, how he doesn't contest to perfection. He could easily turn a lot of his tracks into great works, but then he wouldn't be known for what he is today...and that is the mindfuck, venetian snares.

2370894 and higgins are very ecclectic and therefor not very cohesive thats why I prefer the rest of his albums
but anyway they are both great collections of tracks, higgins specially
