LAPTOP help!

Hi everyone

I just wondered if you could help me with something....

I have a laptop, it's a couple of years old. It functions
well and serves all my computing needs. However, it was
quite cheap, made by Advent (a really cheap UK brand
available at PC World and Dixons) and hence the case it came
in was pretty crap. It's all starting to fall apart a bit
and is quite badly cracked.

I was wondering, is it possible to buy laptop cases cheaply
brand new, and then stick your screen, harddrive, memory,
motherboard, etc into them?

Please let me know.

Cheers.

hmm... well, the monitor is pretty much part of the case in
laptops, so i'm guessing it's not gonna be as easy as
swapping guts in a regular tower.

course, i know nothing about laptops.

i'm not even here.

it wouldn't serve their interest to sell fix-kits like that,
no way.
what you need to do is get some of that air-brushing skill
back up and make it as perf. as possible and sell it on ebay
for a few grand

architecture-school? does that not seem strange to you...

Source a case from the original manufacturer. Advent PC's
are mass produced and branded differently in different
countries.

Just a little bit strange as Aphex never went to
architecture school, but dropped out of an electronics
course at college.
