This man is a comedy genius. HEY! Wha' Happened?
He's mainly a small part actor but when he's allowed to let loose on film he just rolls out the comedy lines.
His best performance was probably in A Mighty Wind as Mike LaFontaine. He had my friend and I in stitches from the moment he appeared on screen.
The fact that most of his spiel is ad-libbed just makes it even better!

Shit yeah! Generally the whole lot of them are to be honest. Waiting for Guffman was a magnificent film. Why these files aren't better received is beyond me.

BUMP!
Just watched 'For Your Consideration', and Fred Willard was absolutely brilliant. when just finished his interview with the drunken wreck of an actress: "Marilyn Hack....now i know what it feels like to stare down into the grand canyon". Fucking funny! :D

He's brilliant. Has anyone ever seen 'High Strung'? starring Steve Oedekerk? It's my favorite movie ever.. Fred Willard is in it for about 5 minutes as an insurance salesman; a role which, of course, he fits like a glove. The whole movie is wonderful.
