hello, i like it.
that Iwazaru guy and some monsters may be annoying, the game isn't really *beautiful* in my opinion, but the originality (of both aesthetics, idea and gameplay) and the interesting story makes up for it : )

i recommend trying it before buying though : )
it is a "special" game... for example you don't have free movements, you have to use the A button to walk and B to turn back. you can only choose your direction at "junctions". also, the enemies have to be "scanned" before you can shoot them because they're almost invisible without scanning.
it can be disturbing too... sometimes you'll have to talk to the severed head of a dead girl.
as for the graphics... well, i guess everyone has seen what they were like already, i'm attaching a picture just in case. for the soundtrack... you don't have music all the time, but when you have some it is pretty good. when you talk to dead people (and the people you'll have to talk to will be much more often dead than alive), their voices are robotic/distorted/vocoder-like and the lips don't move. the dialogues aren't censored at all, so you'll often hear "you're fucked!" or things like that. the maniac laughs of the enemies are excellent.

Thanks for your preview! it is much better than a normal review that we could read on a normal videogamems site :)
Yes, i know, it is a particular game. but you can't believe this.. I just discovered that a friend of mine bought it few days ago i really think he will lend it to me. :)
Anyway this game must be really special aslo because has been planned from a special person called "Shinji Mikami" remember? :)

yes, i know.
but even for cel-shaded graphics it's a bit special - Zelda Wind Waker is in cel-shading too, that GameCube Naruto game as well, and they're not as minimalistic as Killer7...

qrter: now that you mention it... indeed it might not be "objectively" that original. ' _ ' but when you play it, it does feel weird.
w M w: God Of War for me is very good but ripped off (on Prince Of Persia, Devil May Cry, Onimusha...) gameplay, and an ambiance i dislike (generic cruelty and a hero with as much charisma as a cow turd). can't say it's a bad game, but i'm not hooked.

well I don't mean to, I just calls em as I sees em.
in this case I was just saying that the absence of black lines doesn't make the graphics that special - I'm not saying the game as a whole is not special. like uzim says, it's probably a great choice for this specific game that greatly enhances the experience of playing it. but on it's own it's just not that extraordinary.
I see this place as just a messageboard, which means you should take everything said with a pinch of salt, as it were. I guess I just think you shouldn't care too much about what other people say, in the end. read it, maybe think about it, but what matters is what you think yourself - if you think the graphics are special, why would you care what some guy on the internet says?
most people on this board are grown ups, or close to being grown up - you should be able to take in comments on a messageboard without letting the fun be spoiled for you.

also looks like it's actually doing something new in regards to gameplay.
generally a really interesting and, dare I say it, artistic idea for a computer game.

See qrter the fag? That's it! That's the lesson I've been trying to teach you by calling you gay, fag! You did it; you have obtained spiritual enlightenment and are a true gay jedi master! Me? Well I've never even touched another human being, but I am not gay like you are. At least not consciously... yet. *tries to divert attention from qrter's nice plump ass*

Actually I guess I agree with you. It's a nice game in ways but there are some things, all game play related, that piss me off. I only give it a lower rating because my expectations were not met well. In a game I envision, there would be much much more chaos and much less linearity. Every time you play the game would be quite different due to the nature of the chaos. It's not even necessary to have the player walk around such great distances; that's not where the gameplay is. It's in fighting the monsters (gameplay of which needs touching up too). It should be a game where you become skilled, not easily memorize some cheap tactics. There could be an arena like smash tv where the monsters come to you instead of vice versa.. basically doom2 has many of these qualities (more chaos, less linear) and I think doom2 is an incomparably superior game fun-wise to god of war. But I also would like to see a 3d game done in a very chaotic style where the entire focus is gameplay.

I agree. I ordered it up and played it and put it down thinking, shit I've wasted my money. I'm going to go to Game and try to swap it for something else. I just get bored out of my skull. Iwazaru or Izawaru or whatever... yeah, that guy really is annoying. he gets less annoying after a while though.
anyway - i've just seen the ending... holy fuck.
the ending is as twisted (or almost) as Metal Gear Solid ones, and disturbing/sick. even though i did see some of it coming... it's an ending that fucks with your mind.
