Hello I just made this beat to celebrate being able to
make music again. As I haven't posted anything for a while
tell me how bad it is :D

It's only a little happy(?) beat because I was happy for
about 30 seconds earlier on. Only half a meg in size,
encoded at 128kbps.

Cubase with Intakt for this one.

never heard of intakt though

nice.

how do you run intakt in cubase? (if that's what you did)
I'm new to both of these programs, you see. and do kontakt
and intakt do basically the same thing? or does intakt do
just one of the functions of kontakt?

It is from the Native Instruments sampler line. Similar to
Recycle except you can do the cut up and manipulation in
real time and the slices are just assigned to different
notes. Pretty good package :D

PhatMatikPro does a similar job and is also very good.

Intakt is different, it uses the same basic engine as
Kontakt but it is designed more for beat slicing and
manipulation than sampling. Very powerful package. It just
runs as a normal VSTi.

Not a bad beat but you've done a lot better in the past.

Excellent, you can start on "andBass" then :D

You need to call that 30 second track, "Lee's a happy
glitch".

I am happy again.

better. This works on so many levels. You just don't

its good beat work i just want to hear a full track of you
stuff
i think the tracks you make would sound better within a full
piece rather than small samples

I have a few tracks that are nearing completion...I am too
much of a perfectionist when it comes to something I can
call a complete track and so end up binning most of the full
length ones I have done. :D

never throw your tracks away there is so much that can be
taken from old tracks

agreed! i tend to recycle loops from old tracks that i
thought were shite into something far more satisfying. so
did brian eno, at times, if you read the liner notes for
OnLand.

listening....

i like it, very well made indeed.

however, i have noticed that many people on this board, when
making faster loops, stick to conventional drumkit sounds -
(not that your sounds are conventional) - i think you should
try cutting bits of this out, like a kick a snare and latter
ends of them, and then use those for your drumkit. you may
very well be surprised with the results.

anyways - i liked it. :D
