Just saw No Good on MTV and forgot just how good the track was. I reckon he is a little underestimated...possibly because he made popular the toytown techno era which some people reckon ruined the rave scene...then The Fat of the Land which was rather shit...but in between he made some cracking stuff.

then i listened to earlier prodigy and liked it a lot
now i don't think fat of the land sucks but i still think that earlier albums are better

You guessed it, person 1: a, b person 2: sort of b (not welsh, but has lived most of his life there)
Those tracks are defo from Jilted Generation. It's actually onb my desk and I checked the track listing to confirm that voodoo people was on it. I was listening to Poison in the car today. A good soundtrack to driving around the outskirts of a powerstation.

The Prodigy are bloody good. Liam just has a serious knack for groove and funky ass beats. I mean seriously who can touch Liam for making phat and funky beats that just kick like a Donkey gone wild or something like that?

Lets face it a whole generation were brought up definitely on 'MFTGG' and a number on 'Experience'. I know I certainly was and I must admit I resisted The Prodigy even when everyone else was into them just because they were commercial and I was digging Aphex and Seefeel at the time. But I couldn't resist 4ever, especially when I heard 'MFTGG'. I remember seeing The Prod at Phoenix, good times!

When Prodigy released Charly which was based on a UK public information film about stranger danger it gained rave popular appeal, but sadly it led to a slew of stupid cartoon/childrens tv sample based tracks and general commercialisation which was bad enough. However some people also think it allowed the media to start going on about the evils of the music which made the government do a knee jerk reaction by introducing anti party legislation in the Criminal Justice Act 1994.
At least that is some peoples views...I'm not 100% sure myself :D

Experience is def their best. Music for... was good, and Fat ofr the land was ok. Their last single was their worst track ever, and their new album will be like stabbing yourself to death with a spoon.

Meauw... Charly says: "Always tell your mummy before you go off somewhere."
Charly (Trip Into Bass and Drum Version)
Meauw... Charly says... bass Charly says... raas Bass, bass, little bit of bass, little bit of bass, little bit of raas
Little bit of bass, little bit of raas (3x)
couldnt find a real article on it, but it's clear now (was unfamiliar with the term stranger danger too)
furthermore im more familiar with the term happy hardcore, which refers to gabba.
charly was a good track, buying experience now though (the version on that is not tha bomb anyway) is useless for me

I think he is underrated...he gained popular appeal with good music. Pop media got pissed off because he was so reclusive and the "cooler" electronic people got pissed off with his chart and commercial success...he was trapped between a rock and a hard place.
