I'd love Lost in Translation to win best film but I doubt it
will, where is Big Fish amongst the nominaltions??

It think you will find that the term "rings dominates Oscar
nominations" is referring to the gays in hollywood decided
what gets nominated and stuff.

The Hype Of The Rings doesn't deserve to win anything. I
could have made a better trilogy of films with a camcorder,
me, earthleakage, marlowe, yavo (+ his love intrest pogo),
giginger, zues and skink. Also cameos throughout the films
from the rest of you.

its all rigged!

these big fucking coporations steal the lime light of
independent films that could have the potential of oscar
material...

so i like other film awards...

sundance.
cannes.
toronto.

"The Hype Of The Rings doesn't deserve to win anything."

Hype has nothing to do with the quality of a film. Return of
the King is the most worthy of the trilogy to win any
awards.

i thing lotr is very suitable for oscars.
both things are exclusively made for some people to have
good time and that is it.
btw, i still haven't seen any lotr film...my gawd.

I think Big Fish was released to recently to be qualified
for this year's awards. Personally, I liked that much more
than LOTR.

Oh shit, it was nominated for Best Score, so I guess it was
eligible. That sucks.

somehow Andy Serkis, who play Gollum should've been
nominated... a lot of that characters movements and stuff
are based on him, and all the vocals... Gollum is one of the
best roles in LotR...

going to like them at all... and you can know this before
seeing the films... but me, I love fantasy stuff, so the

I'm not a massive fan of fantasy stuff but I can appreciate
a well made film/trilogy when I see one, and LOTR was just
that.

Politics-wise, LOTR will win - God knows why (and he's not
sayin')

If there was any justice in the world, Lost In Translation
would win everything it was nominated for, but given LOTR is
likely to pick up best picture and director I'll settle for
Bill Murray taking best actor and Sofia Coppola getting best
original screenplay.

Ken Watanabe should get best supporting actor, that guy
actually lives his life according to samurai principles,
which is pretty cool.
