today I got this at home:

witboas
making orange things
chocolate wheelchair album
doll doll doll
find candance
nimphomatriarch

the last three came in beautiful digipacks
and that was a nice surpirse, now I have the doubt wether
the wiboas and chocolate had once a digipack release too,
but anyway how beautiful artworks in all his releases, its
really nice to have such nice artworks

Damn, nacmat is on a snares purchase rampage lately :)

I know the addiction well; won't be long before you're
maniacally bidding on greg hates car culture...

P.S. - Somatic Responses "Spooky Pen" EP out now... new
remixes by Snares, Emotional Joystick and Proem...

dollx3 is an excellent album

dollmaker is a great track... the whole album is so cohesive
and nice

I cant understand why it took me so long ot decide to get
snares stuff

I got a whole new world in front of me now

i know what you mean heh. if i haven't heard afx playing
snares tunes on his gigs i'd probably get to know his stuff
much later as well. dollx3 is his most impressive one
musically imo, i like find candace and chocolate wheelchair
as well, and i love making orange things.
he's well wicked.

made me see the err of my ways.

witboas - i has this in cdr so its not new to me, but its
still fantastic for my brain
making orange things - hard as fuck but I alrady love it,
like I love afx when he gets hardcore, just snares is more
hardcore, and I like it.
chocolate wheelchair album - I prefer witboas, I shall give
it more tries, its nice, but not surprising
doll doll doll - the best
find candance - nice second part of doll, this one and doll
and witboas are like a trilogy to me
nimphomatriarch - maybe the weakest, even so its nice, very
ambient, nice to have a break of the hardcore.

as you see, I really enjoyed them all, with a clear
favourite, doll doll doll

chocolate wheelchair is growing on me at the speed of light

nympho is the only one that is just ok, the rest are all
excellent

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-01-26 16:41 [#01049867]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

i loved chocolate imediately, it doesn't sound dark as the
rest of his stuff...he's just good with putting stuff
together. that disco sample would probably suck, but the way
he used it it's excellent.

i can't comment on nymphomatriarch as i haven't heard
it...and i just read bad rewievs/comments about it so im not
going to bother :)

choclate is really uplifting and still hard and genious.

doll and candance are my favs along with witboas

to tell you the truth, i listened to witboas only like once.
find candace maybe twice, dool doll doll like 5 times - but
i listened to certain tracks from this one quite a lot.
the one i listened the most was making orange things and
chocolate wheelchair.

but still, my favourite is definitely doll doll doll.

making orange things is so fucking savage... I love it, so
hard and "annoying"

I really enjoy it, its like hardcore electronic metal

yeah, very rough, but still extremly melodic stuff (perhaps
his most melodic release, well and witboas).
personally i think most of his other albums are more
annoying (in a good way).
when you get a chance to see him live go for it, but don't
try and keep up the tempo cuz you could get a heart attack
:)

so out of these 3:

songs about my cats
printf
237 0894

which should I get?

I'd go with songs about my cats for the otherworldly vibe
and atonal melodies. the other two are not to be slept on,
though. printf is on the rough drum 'n' bass tip. 2370894
has lots of doll doll doll and higgins related tracks.
