ain't that alot to carry in your wallet?

You should live in the here and now man. Things like housing
are for squares. The state will provide the essentials for
survival when you've pissed all your income away on music
and DVDs... ;P

Hyakusen: Seriously, how would you send on of us money? Mail
us concealed cash? Even that would require you to use a bank
(to change it into our own currency).

But who issues the cash is my thing?!

I just don't get it. Who controls the cash in your country?
You jsut carry cash around all the time? Do you save up by
hising money in your pants? Go into detail. Don't just say.
We pay by cash! That's not the strange bit. Cash makes
sense. It's just how it's all managed.

People find it funny because in a lot of countries, "cash in
hand" (where they give you cash rather than pay it into your
bank account) jobs tend to be a bit dodgy and something
people do to avoid getting taxed (or whilst they claim
unemployment benefit).

You can send money like you described, but usually there's a
charge to pay- when you do it in the UK it's £14... almost
the cost of a DVD itself.

you obviously think that we in Poland live like
cavemans...but i used to that way of thinking about us. :)

anyway - its all the same like in UK, banks, goverment,
just consider me as an alienated marginal case, ok ? i just
dont need to have bank account,
hey - i dont have mobile phone too, can you believe it ?

seriously, its a shame to know that nowadays people cant
live without banks and such...

well, last time when i was paying money to some bank
account, charge was 3.5% of whole money, so, as you can see
its a little % of all money.

and dont forget that we live on a little lower level than
you8 in UK, people just dont have money to put it in
banks...
seriously, we are poor country with big ambitions, thats all

"hey - i dont have mobile phone too, can you believe it ?"

thats more believable than not having a bank account, i
mean, where is all the money for traveling to Ireland and
Canada? Under your pillow?

i only use my cards when i buy over internet and when i go
out of my country - but even then i prefer cash. at least i
always know how much i have left to spend :). i too don't
save money on bank account, i always keep some money there,
but i don't save. i keep it at home (as much as there is to
keep anyway hehe). i don't like banks. i think i've been at
my bank like twice since i opened my bank account years
back...
but, it's impossible to not have a bank account these
days...

yeah but i think the bank accounts exist in our society to
make things easier. some thousand years ago people were also
sceptical to money insteed of giving goats as payment for
the things they wanted to get.
