True, if i was living in newbury i wouldn't stand a chance of giving up at all, i know to many people who would give me cigarettes. if you can get 'nicorette' gum in your town, i can recommend it. it worked so well that i ended up getting hooked on it for a year. very strong, gives you 10x the hit of a cigarette. |

im having trouble quitting. basically im refusing to buy anymore packs cause its so expensive. but every week or so i just go mental in my room and my eyes and hands twitch. so i gotta buy every now and then. i usually have 1 every 2 days (usually bummed off someone at the bus stop) but when i buy a pack i just cant savour it. i chain it like a mother fucker and get loaded and make loads of tobacco/weed joints with all the butts. i need a smoke right now acually |

i've given up in the last 6months. still given in to the odd cigarette when out with mates (can't remember the last time though) but i havent been buying any. it really is a one-day-at-a-time thing. i read somewhere that cravings only last about 10-30 seconds.. if you can resist for that period of time, then youve beat it.. until the next craving. the longer you keep on like that, the more infrequent the cravings get. last time i had a drag on a cigarette, i did it solely to see how it felt after so long without on. it was fucking disgusting. you start to physically FEEL a lot better after a while too. things taste real again. and the spare cash is definitely a bonus. hang on in there.. its only shit at first. |
