I ve got a file which was all a biography or something...
so all text (like 600 pages)

and now it all apears like this:

well, with real squares actually

what could I do to get it back to normal?

if you've already tried switching fonts, try opening it with
WordPad.

if it opens all glichy in wordpad, i'd say it's probably a
corrupt file.

or a file that's had it's extention manually changed.

are you sure it's not some email virus or something?

your problem might be, since it's a .doc document, that your
version of MS Word is too old!
yes, and that the wordfile you have might be saved in a
newer format.

it meens your missing the original font.

highlight it all, and change the font to something you have.
