I've been thinking about buying some CDs recently and here is whats on my list so far.
Boards of Canada - Twoism Bogdan Raczynski - Thinking of You Brian Eno - Before and After Science Chris Clark - Ceramics is the bomb Chris Clark - Empty the bones of you
Now can you guys offer me some suggestions? I've been seeing the name "Mum" a lot recently, is that any good?

Peter Gabriel eh? Isn't he the one that sings "In games without frontiers, war without tears"? Any certain album or compilation you would suggest?

hehe, well I'm very open about my love of Peter Gabriel here, and so yes I can suggest some nice albums for you... not that you'll like em, cause I seem to be the only fan here! ;)
I think Up (his latest) and Passion (a soundtrack) are his two best albums... I haven't heard his first two yet though, but his first few albums up to So were more progressive, so you could check those out if you like... I own Security and Peter Gabriel 3, and they both have excellent songs on them... although also some I'm not that fond of... I prefer is later stuff, So to Up...

I was thinking about buying "Up" last year, when I was trying to get into some new stuff. Maybe I'll check some of it out.
Have you heard those tracks he did on the Natural Born Killers soundtrack with Nustrat Fetah Ali Khan? I think the track was called Allah Muhammad Char Yaar.

I've heard a couple things he's done with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, maybe not those songs... but I'll be sure to check them out anyways...
Maybe I'm a bit biased, but Up is a really great album... Peter Gabriel has done a lot of World type music, but Up is pretty varied I think... yes you have more worldy type stuff, but you also have some cool rock songs, some very beautiful slower moments, etc... the production is really stellar too... and there are some nice collaborations, one with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and another nice one with The Blind Boys of Alabama, a gospel group... really nice stuff!
there is also a song with Fateh Ali Khan on Passion... amazing singer huh? Also, Youssou N'Dour (sp?) sings a bit on Passion, and he has a great voice too... I really need to get solo albums by these guys!...

I can get it for like $9 with free shipping. Assuming you are really from the UK, and that you were to give me the CD free, it would still cost a fortune to ship it over here to the U.S.

Yeah, I've heard lets see... Feed Me Weird Things (Own it) Big Loada' (Had the MP3s) Hard Normal Daddy (Had the MP3s) Maximum Priest (Had the MP3s) Burning'n Tree (Had the MP3s) Music Is Rotted One Note (Had the MP3s) Selection Sixteen (Had the MP3s) Go Plastic (Own it)
The only one I really liked is "Feed Me Weird Things", the track "Journey to Reedham" was cool, and "Hard Normal Daddy" had some good stuff too, I'm not too much into him other than that.

I think Spokes comes with Dial P from warpmart. Spokes is amazing, get it.
Also get anything by Bola or Jello (same person). Great stuff.
