Normally richard james use the aphex twin alias for warp
records release, so why in 1995 he made Hangable Autobulb I
and II with AFX alias?
First isolated case of AFX on Warp records... why not Aphex
Twin? Strange, isn't it?

\/\/.

i remember reading in an interview once that rdj said he
uses afx for conventional tracks (comparatively speaking)
and aphex for more experimental output..or something like
that

well when you think about it, the HAB releases were a new
turn for RDJ - perhaps he did not want to put the Aphex Twin
name on it, maybe he feared people would dislike it. Then i
guess when it did well, he made the jungle shift as Aphex
Twin with Girl/Boy and RDJ Album.

Oddioblender has a point. its either that, or him being who
he is, just fucking felt like putting under AFX.

Why don't you ask about polygon window too? Cos that was him
as well, as was gak, and they were both on warp. Perhaps he
will stick with AFX now? or perhaps he is astrobotnia as
well, as was widespread rumour not too long ago! ;)
