ha.

those movies were quite funny at the time.

I've accidentally ordered both parts 1 and 2 on dvd.

do you think I'll still like them?

They're of their time thats for sure. Its hard to dislike
them put it that way. Its eighties/early nineties pop
culture, you know they're kinda classic I guess.

I guess it'll work on a kind of nostalgic level at least.

well..

I ordered it at play.com - a 2 dvd set with both films - I
was kind of in a sentimental mood. I mean, I loved
the first film when I was 16. but my creditcard maxed out,
so it was put on hold.

and I was thinking, well, maybe better not do it.

so I tried to log in on play.com, but I got this screen that
said that my account had been disapproved - none of the
possible reasons that they gave applied to me.

so I sent an e-mail to play, saying I have been a costumer
for the best part of a year now and I don't see why my
account would suddenly be rejected.

I hear nothing for about a week, and then I get an e-mail
from play stating they sent me my order of Wayne's World 1 &
2.

so I have a look on my status page (my account now being
normally accessible) and it says that my order of those
dvd's was cancelled on the same day they posted the dvd's.

so my guess is they did that as a show of service. I'll have
to see on my creditcard statement whether I was charged or
not. um..

I think the first one is hilarious... the second one not so
much...

I was more fond of the cartoon equivalents, Beavis &
Butthead, plus I couldn't stand Dana Carvey.

Well Dana's not to worry because:
He could always try finding the HUGE Kill Bill Appreciation
Thread.

but then again it's kinda difficult to take tia carrere
humorously after seeing that tv series 'relic hunter' or
whatever where she played sydney fox, the most ramboish
archeologist in tv world!

I think pomme was looking for a humorous anecdote... but you
probably put him to sleep. I like those as well as most
movies starring saturday night live people or jim carey or
leslie nielson..

I don't much enjoy Dana Carvey in them, but Mike Myers makes
up for it imo... that joke about the Chinese food cracks me
up everytime...

"I'll have the cream of some young guy!"

lol! :)

I remember that when I saw it in the cinema, the joke went
"A homo says what?" "what?" "A homo says what?" "what!?"
"Exactly".

and when I bought it on video, they replaced 'homo' for
'sphincter'.

REALLY?!?!?!?!? Dammit man, I have NEVER EVER understood
that joke... but the homo makes SO much more sense...

I've seen it a LOT, and I distinctly remember it saying that
the first time I saw it.

I don't think I've ever heard it after that. let's see
what's on the dvd when it arrives..

*sudden twist of suspense added to the thread*

I've always taken it as "Ass sphincter says what?" and that
made absolutely no sense whatever... the "A sphincter says
what?" makes a bit more... but the homo is best...

These movies are really funny.
In fact, I watched them before I had a chance to see the
characters on SNL.

yeah me too... my brother used to tapes those episodes, so I
saw a few afterwards...

I used to love that era of SNL... that's the best imo...
