Currently evaluating one of these little wonders for
work...

NOTHING beats surfing the web etc on the daily commute...

http://www.blackberry.com/uk/products/blackberry7700/blac... ...

I'm smitten already so I hope these next 4 weeks, until we
return them, goes slow slow slow....

yeah they're fun for like a week, then the novelty effect
wears off realy quick.

It's so fucking annoying when you get emails from work 24/7,
constantly buzzing....constantly having to type on that shit
keyboard...

sorry, I'm a bit bitter. Glad to hear you're so excited
about it though!

aaaah! you are just finding ouy about this now? i had one
about 4 months ago. its a piece of complete shit. fucking
hated it. too many things to list, but you figure if you pay
750 for a phone, it would at least FEEL like a 750 doller
phone. i had the 7510 btw.
i switched back to a bloomingdales limited edition i95cl.

I work in education so don't have that problem with 24/7
disturbances... Gave up the corporate life 10yrs ago, so I
know exactly what a pain that shit can be...

(My boss discovered AIM last year & tried to be all matey
etc...altho inevitably he wanted to talk work...

On the bright side, he left a week back & the guy they've
got in to replace him is your archetypal techno-phobe so I
reckon it's safe to install AIM again now..)

Spending the next couple of days looking thru the dev kit -
it runs JAVA so there's a lot of potential for us there...

(And YAY!..I get some to do proper Programming; been very
dry at work lately; too much SQL & HTML and not enough
innovating/designing solutions...)..

yeah, they been out for ages, but only recently have apps
that need to be 100% untied from our network..

Phew! 750 dollars is expensive - I know we'll get a decent
deal should the evaluation go well; I'm certainly hoping it
will...looks like a flat-rate charge as well, so no worries
about connect/call time or Internet charges...

heh...You can tell I'm a sad fanboy...

the phone i have now will last me a couple years. but when
it wears out or breaks or whatever, I definately get
something similar to this (although i'm sure there will be
far more technologically advanced things in a few years)
