very cool track. nice melody, and i like the thing with using the tribal sounding percussion that start in the beginning. very plaid sounding to me, or maybe its just that i was listening to double figure before this. mind returning the favor at all? |

oh and the tribal percussion is more mu-ziq inspired than plaid, but i see what you mean. infact the whole track was inspired by tango n' vectif and also by my girlfriend. i said i'd write a song for her birthday and that is it |

Spacecadet, This is definitely one of your best tracks. Its starts off well with the ethnic percussion but I would have developed it into a much bigger sound. I think the development is ok but a touch weak. The notes work and stuff but I think you should have made the sound and atmosphere bigger and much more emotional. Its good though, I would say your best track to date. I just wish you'd take the notes in a slightly different direction that said they are good just wish they'd been even more full on and emotional. Good stuff though I would say definitely some of the best stuff I've heard on Xltronic for a while more up my alley. Thumbs up. Have to say I'm a sick of hearing just drum beats so I'm glad to hear some real simple melody for once in a while. |

thanks! like i said, it's a reworking of an old track, maybe you'd like the stuff i was doing a couple of years ago more than the stuff im doing now! oh and i found a book in the library called 'the psychology of sounds' which has notes and chords put into tables on how to convey different emotions and emotional reactions which sounds stupidly interesting. i think thats where my problem lies |

Yes it starts off quite dark and I was thinking mmm not getting this but when those strings kick in it complements it quite well. Yes this is good. Good selection of notes. You've brought this track together quite nicely with those notes. Could develop a bit more throughout with more build up but its definitely good to hear some actual tunes on the board for once. Not too big on the beat but the notes are strong. |

This track is very good, the length is perfect as well as the timing and the way that the song flows. Bits of it sound like an old AOE song which is good. I will listen to your other stuff now if you dont mind :) |

The intro was far too basic. It's not bad when it gets to the faster melody, the beat fits quite nicely there. I can see where the Plaid comparison comes in, but the percussive sounds are too generic and a bit dull...I would have preferred duller more electronic sounding hits, that is just personal taste though...it's deffo one of my favourites of yours though. Good work :D |
