you've more patience than i. and it came out quite nice,
didn't it? it's pretty mellow on the melody, but..yeah. i
quite enjoyed this track. sounds clean, moves right along,
and just..yeah. very well done, dr. nob. that high-pitched
bit of melody-something at the end there, though,
could've...hmm. done something more, though, i feel. it just
kindof comes in, wavers a bit, then the track ends. but
overall, i approve. let's have some more of it, now, mm?

ending

Not too bad...got a bit boring though, not enough pattern
variation. The melody was OK...

Programming is solid, I like the background sound, not the
pad but the white noisy thing, that's solid too. Pad and
plucks weren't doing it for me so much. I like the melody
line, really subtle, doesn't get in your face too much. The
stutters on the drums and melody are well placed, gives you
a little nod

Your stuff is definitly improving

Track gets moving, enjoying it... but yeah, the drums are
just a bit stale for me after a while

Even though the programming part of it is changing up a bit
because it's the same sound it ends up sounding repetitive
anyways. Lot of the same rolls on the snare and lots of
notes close together blend together pretty heavily. When the
second drum line comes in it helps a lot but you don't play
with that one as much.

Maybe that helps? Maybe not. Lots of things to do better and
lots of parts done really well, nice job!

I got a remix track down a few threads if you feel like
checking it out

this is a very good track with a lot going on. i agree that
your sound is improving! i love the rythm stuff in it and i
didn't find it boring at all. i like all the sounds you
used too. great work

Interesting sound. The drum start with quite a funky beat
and it kinda feels quite groovy and then goes a bit wishy
washy. Its not bad though, just a bit uneffecting. But I've
certainly heard worse. I think it needs like a phat baseline
and maybe some strong pads and shit. But thats me, probably
fits quite nicely within a string of other tracks, I just
like shit hard and direct. I'm gonna listen to it a second
time though.

Oohh... some fat booty bass line would kick it up a notch
for sure

i haven't gotten to the end yet, but considering that is
sounds like data transmission over a phone line in the song,
end the song with a hangup or dialtone or something.

and i am way to lazy to program drums like this.

i agree a squidgy bassline is the way to go, the bass you've
got is nice at points but seems to get lost in the mix
(maybe it's the mp3?). most of the programming and melodic
elements i thought sounded great. maybe add just a little
more depth and contrast and phat bass.

glad to see you back, with another quality track!

thnx for you thoughts

i did want a big bassline in it but im using a pc with a PII
so is was difficult enough to do this without the track
constantly clipping
the bass i already had in it was quite low because it fcked
the bass drum beats (distortion)
and i plan to change the plinking crap to something else

if anybody wants to donate a bassline i would be gratefull
:)

I think I went a bit underboard when commenting, but that is
only because I have started to expect a high standard from
you.

The drum programming is actually really good.

As for the computer, when you are listening in real time
during development you will get the clipping, but when it
comes to the final mixdown/render you should have that
problem if you have the levels set right.

nobsmuggler.

I know what you're saying about using a PII. You've got to
be imaginative because it struggles.

but surely you could put up with the clipping if you know it
isn't going to make it into the final cut.

Mr Hall, can you make the bass line to go with this mixed
down version? would that help the processor situation?

I think the rest of the board apart from the music makers
should make some more effort to check people's trax. Not
criticising or anything 'cause I've always checked people's
trax whether I posted my own or not.

I know you do. Just you know it can be a bit frustrating
when others don't check your trax. You know like I know a
lot of the music makers tend to check each others but it'd
be nice if some of the non music makers made more effort.

Buff mate! The drums are very nice, but I prefer the synth.
It's bloody gorgeous. Kind of smooth but a wee bit glitchy.

And bass would be good, but I think only in parts. To have
some dred bassline running throughout would ruin the mood
and become boring.
