slip, piezo, glitch : "frisky. cool"
slipside: "depressed like hell. should cheer up"
tri repetae: "very hard and energetic. are they boys? sounds
like boys."

overall, "nice flow and ultra hardness"

pule - "is it yours? (me: why ??) sounds somewhat deficient
(!!!). but actually sounds all right. "

my mom doesnt love or hate them, although... i did put
something from lp5 (can't remember, maybe "rae" or "vose
in") on a mixed tape for her, and she didn't ever say she
hated it... so... maybe that's as close to saying she likes
it as it'll get.

rright, silverside. I haven't dared to think about playing
confield and draft but I will try ^^

she hardly knows electronic and is not into music really.
But she makes me surprised sometimes.

"isn't what you're doing, so-called electronic, music or
whatever, trying to make a imaginary world from your head
using non-existent sound?"

hahahahahahahahaha

"so-called electronic music or whatever"

"Eh....this is VERY experimental, right?"

'someone banging on steel bins' seems to be quite a common
response from epople for any drum n bass type music

Anything with nice melodies is what my 'mom' likes.

Although, she got very excited when I put Clipper on
once, and she enjoyed the whole of Tri Repetae.

last year i gave my dad ae's amber for his birthday. when i
still lived at their place he used to like plastikman and
other more fourtothefloor oriented stuff. i thought it was
time for him to take a step forward (in the most elitistical
sense of the word) without being to hard on him. i thought
amber was ideal, he thought it was "...eh...different, but
it's nice to work too". i dunno if thats good or bad.

she liked it. she didn't like it when the next track that
came on was "everyone" by astrobotnia.

ok not really. But I don't ever play my music for them. This
would accentuate our differences even more, and remind my
father how sad he is that I didn't play football in high
school and grow up to be a Republican.

My mum thinks Shitmat's an "aquired taste".

Quite likes Amon Tobin "is this what you listen to when
you're smoking hash?" "sounds like you stuff but a bit more
professional".

Thinks some Aphex is very listenable. Incidentally she knows
his ex so she's like "what's richard up to these days?"

My dad likes The Streets, Aphex's piano stuff and Queens of
the Stoneage besides his Handel, Mozart, Bix Biderbecke,
Miles Davis stuff.

someone said that Drukqs sounds like Rolf Harris playing his

mom liked aphex - saw 85-92, confield was too much. some
friends say all idm they've heard sounds like this *makes
non-rhythmic random pounding on nearby objects*

i dont care what my mum thinks, when i listened to simple
dance she often said: good rhythm, but when i put on peel
sessions 1, first track, my parents didnt like it, so there
you go. with some fantasy i can imagine people just find it
sounding weird, but still: that kinda pisses me off.
she should like my music though

one of the oddest things that happened to me was when i was
playing random idm in my room and i put on my fucking sound
and she popped her head in and said "wow what is that? i
really like it." i guess shes pretty advanced in her tastes
for glitch

a little tamer, just blips and cuts and whatnot. my fucking

My mum can't stant any of my music. My dad likes older AE
and Squarepusher's jazzy stuff, but not the more glitchy
stuff...he says it's too "random", which could be correct I
guess.

my mom is more into bola, the orb and biosphere. I left
Cirque in the car once and she listened to it all on the way
back from school (she teaches) and was like 'the was really

It probably helps that the entire family (including

My dad loves Draft.

"Jesus that's really amazing sound dynamics!"

He used to be in a lot of bands and really lieks some idm.
He absolutely loves Hard Normal Daddy by Squarepusher.
He is pretty cool...sometimes.
