8bit sex you up

Something BRAND spanking fresh I made last night. I found a
program that allows me to make simple waveforms like
sqaures, sawtooth, blah blah - and oh yeah - it's in STEREO!
Glorious..... enjoy.

i'm not too into the synth part, but the rest of it is great
as usual. you didn't do this with sound recorder, did you?

yeah sure - it would probably be easier with mp3s though -
you have an mp3 to wav converter?

i do all my breakcore loops in sound recorder - or cut them
up and set them as individual drumsounds in hammerhead.

it's probably just a conflict between WinRAR and macRAR -
just d/l winRAR - the RAR is working for me.

I listened to it. I don't remember the melody cos the synth
sounds were a bit anonymous. Maybe it's just the simplicity
fooling me. The beats were really nice.

well, hopefully the track is not now going somewhere, but i
am, i think..

so i shall return, mark my words, but by then, 20+ more
people will have allready listened to it, giving you every
possible comment, leaving mine virtually useless..

err.. farewell.

8bit sex you up and Step off hose blaster are
my first true experiments with stereo production. (any other
way i've fooled with it in the past is to just add quick
painless atmopshere to ambient tracks w/ wave enhancer) i
think they came out well.

anyways, i'm glad you all are enjoying them.

HAHAH i love the synth melodies especially that off note it
hits about halfway through

very dissonant

have you played any shows ever or anything?

Points: 9601 Status: Lurker | Followup to morguean: #00959082

well i used to play shows back when i first tried to find
some in 2001 that was purely analog - keyboards, drum
machines hooked into a pa mixer and me trying to do
everything at once, but that didn't work too well, and i
think i had three gigs and an average of 10 people show at
each one.

but now i'm in two collectives who both are going to try to
get me some shows, and i'm looking forward to it.

My set-up will consist of this:
HP Pavilion PC (core of set)
Yamaha PSS-470 (for improvisations / additions)
Numark tt1150 (for scratches and other vinyl headfuckery)
Digitech RP7 Valve (effects processor)
Optimus PA Mixer

i might add another keyboard in there though. probably my
Casio CT-625 .... Casios aren't great i know, but the CTs
fit my sound well.

thats rad, do you have all that equipment already??

if you do, how much was it?

some dj in calgary got a hold of me and wants me to play
some shows but i don't know how haha

but she said sometimes it doesn't even matter if you have
EVERYTHING - cuz nobody will know the difference

yeah i do - i've been building up a fairly large equipment
collection over the last 6 or 7 years.

My HP Pavilion PC was given to me by my mother, so that was
free.

A neighbor gave me my Casio CT625, he was the nicest guy in
the world, you think postcard neighbors - he was one of
them. everytime i look at that keyboard i'm reminded there's
still good in the world... anyways....

The Yamaha PSS I got at a pawn shop clearance for about 50
bucks... they were overloaded with old keyboards - it's
basically a poor man's synthesizer but its suitable for what
I'm doing.

And the Digitech RP7 i got at a guitar shop (it's a guitar
effects processor but DAMN it is great!) for $187 USED - w/o
a book - but it's still in fantastic addition, with 40
channels that can be customized, and stereo output. Tremolo,
Phasing, Flanging, Reverb all that fun stuff.

And the Optimus PA Mixer was 70 bucks new at Radioshack -
cheap but solid and reliable.

I don't really worry about PA Systems because from what I've
seen, most venues let musicians use theirs. For instance, i
saw Aphrodite a while back at Trees in Dallas, and he just
used the club's equipment (turntables and all), none of it
was his at all.

The melody right at the end was nice but the the held notes
that continue through the track are not really inspiring.
Your beats are good shit tho, almost as good as mine 8D

I like the 8bit sounds but c'mon you cunt lets 'ave some
crazy melodys to go with your beats.

much about them except nice! The only thing I didn't like
about them was they were a little too tame, I like my
breakcore completely psychotic if you please :)
