So, I was at Jazz band last night and we were in the pub after talking about transcribing music. A couple of people in the band have been working on them of late. We've had Frank Zappa, Junior Senior and Destiny's Child. Varied results. This got me thinking about doing some Aphex Twin stuff. The problem is what to actually try and transcibe into a Jazz/Big Band style. I've been considering Flim quite a bit. Anyone got any suggestions?

welt: I'd love to have a go at that but I think that's beyond our scope. Also, only two other people in the band have heard of Aphex. My mate Tom and that's only from me talking about the fucker a lot and the leader. Mt St Michaels mount would be phat though
murray: Not a bad idea actually.... considering it.
bob: I like it but I'm not sure how that'd come over as a lot of it's based on sounds that I couldn't get on a "natural" instrument. Shame as it's a great tune.
JAroen; I could jazz that up.
I'm waiting for someone to say KTPA1 + 2

I'd like to know some chord voicings for Alberto Balsalm, I lack the discipline to figure it out myself.

It's true... The Dylan Group do a good cover.
I agree with nobsmuggler too, IZ-US would be a good choice.

bob: You crazy man.
ophecks: That has potential
nobsmuggler: nice idea. I'll skip that opening vocal though. :P
