If your keen on digital photography then I suggest you check
out Nikons D1/D2 range of digital camera's. Nikons
Digital SLR's also have the advantage to being
compatible with all regular Nikon Lenses!! now that would be
incledible to have that selection at hand.

so electro, i can't say moe than this about camera... i am
devoted to my mamiya, BUT my canon AE-1 really delivers
so... i'll take a guess that any of the newer models should
be fine, provided you have a goood lens for it, and i as i
said before the wider the lens the better depth of field you
will have = sharper images, less grain... i'm an old school
type i guess. looks like you will be getting a few nice toys
this winter... enjoy

buy the canon elan 7 (without the 'E') unless you want eye
sensors.

also consider canon 300D if you're going digital - you're
able to use all EF lenses out there. if you're new into
photography the best way is to go digital SLR since you're
prolly try something - get errors - try again - get less
errors - try again - and get nice results. you'll get
instant feedback and it does not cost you anything.

actually, the only reason for me to keep my elan 7 (eos 33)
is that i want to shoot slides. i can always print the
digital files to 10x15 papers if i want that.

yeah the rebel ti (canon 300 in EU i think) is well worth
the money - a little bit plastic for my taste - but still a
great cam. you'll notice it'll get a bit unbalanced while
using heavier lenses.

now for lenses then... it's a good thing you're now
compatible with the EOS/EF series of lenses.... you won't
regret to get a canon 28-135 IS USM...a great allround lens
for a decent price tag. it's many photographers fav. lens.
mine too actually. or get the even cheaper canon 50mm 1.8
(<--- just look at that brightness). you can find one for
$90.
