yeah so i saw it a few hours ago and it sucked royally. the
only reason that reloaded was good was that it left you
wondering why neo could blow up the sentinels and you are
supposed to learn how in revolutions. of course you dont,
and they dont explain anything else either, thus my liking
for reloaded has bottomed out and revolutions sucks ass.
they even fucking ripped off dragonball z in the last scene
for christ's sake! aaahh!!!!! why o why?

hmmm.... i've heard a lot of negativity about this film
already... however i really can't offer a fluid response to
this thread until i've seen reloaded and revolutions.

I've just mailed you qrter.....

and... the matrix was fun for the first time, based on Issac
asimov really, the follow ups are a bit silly.

they explained how he was able to destroy the sentinels in
the real world. his 'oneness' extended outside the matrix.
which also explained how he was able to see smith even after
he was blind. and how he could see everything in the
machine city while blind. and how he was able to enter the
pseudo-matrix without being plugged in.

granted they didn't go into satisfying detail about it, but
it was covered.

however,i'm still not sure how i feel about revolutions, i
just got back about 15 minutes ago. but, i think they did
an alright job of summing things up. i think they left a
LOT to be desired, but, i don't wholey dissaprove of it.

so he is REALLY one-y"

i think i would've been most happy with an ending where
smith took over everything, and then poisoned himself in an
overload of powerhungry hubris. and earth started over
again at square one.

pardon me, I have not seen the film, so I'm reacting purely
on your post - but that sounds a bit like saying "he can do
all that stuff, because we say so".

but, the way that the brothers were able to keep the
underlying theme of symetry going was pretty amazing.

and i really liked how neo sacrificed himself to allow the
machines to zap smith.

overall, i think it was a really really good sci-fi
trilogy.

i'm glad it's over now.

I only know a few of those titles.

I'd like to see "swimming pool" too - it's written by the
same screenwriter who wrote "sous le sable", so that
interested me.

ah yes, "lost in translation". :)

so i'll get to see it then

many of those are directed by quite famous people: spike
lee,jim jarmusch, wenders, kaurismaki, carlos sorin, soffia
coppola (i read only nice thing about her film), francois
ozon, patrice chereau...

The real ending was cut out... and replaced by the one in
theaters now.

It involved Marty McFly and Doc Brown turning up and saving
the day with the help of Bill And Ted. It made for a better
film.

sean penn is one of my favourite people in film industry -
i'll be sure to keep my eyes opened :)

btw, he's also acting in "its all about love"

im not even sure why i picked swimming pool hehe, glad to
see it got attention worldwide (ok, at least through out
europe :) )

i saw the matrix and was disappointed. i mean it had a few
good ideas but the ending didnt go anywhere and it certainly
doesnt deserve the masses of attention it was getting. i
will see the next 2 films when they are shown on tv.

i started to watch 11.9.01 and was really disappointed... i
only watched the three first stories (iran, france and
egipt), and, althought they have any interesting idea, they
were really boring and morally... (dont know how to say
that, just the thing i was expecting not to be...errr)

i think i will jump to the pen one...

i saw revolutions. First off i HATED the second one and
LOVED the first (notice capslock). Revolutions was less
cheesy than Reloaded though it still was cheesy in parts.
It REALLY bothered me when the hindu guy in the train
station said "Karma" (meaning spirit in effect) instead of
"Dharma" (basically meaning duty). I also think they
handled the oracle thing well, i wasn't very distracted by
it (the original oracle was my favorite character).
