hi friends!
one of my harddrives, which contains around 85gb of mp3s,
has always been a bit fucked (bad sectors etc), but today i
upgraded the motherboard and the computer will not get past
the first bios screen with the drive connected. It doesn't
detect it, but that doesn't matter because you can't
actually do anything unless you unplug it.
is there anything i can do?
my face is about to fall off, feel like compressing a cd
into my fist
any suggestions my friends

exactly how is it connected (like slave on ide channel 1)?
and how many discs have you?

I haven't looked too much into it to be honest. it could be
that the jumper settings need to be different on this new
motherboard, and it fails to boot because they are set
incorrectly. you think that's possible?
it's an abit nf7.

it's working as the master on ide2. i'm doing a chkdsk /r on
it at the moment, then i'll see what i can do.
it was, and still is, on cable select.
