Imagine being able to construct things in steam.

Construct things out of steam or in steam? Either way it is
possible...just cool steam right down and make an ice
sculpture. If you didn't want to do that you could use a
series of fans placed in strategic positions and you could
form images out of steam...moving sculptures...could look
pretty nice.

that's not entirely true... both steam and ice are water,
but steam is not ice. And also, how would you
manipulate steam with fans in a precise enough way as to
create something tangible to the onlooker?

I suppose you could direct the steam to make certain shapes

I had a passing moment of genius where i figured if i went
to this mountain i went to in austraillia once ,that was
popular with the tourists - yet not over crowded, and got
the clouds that were around the top,and froze them into
little cloud shapes on sticks , i could make millions
sellling cloud lollies at the top pf the mountain.

Luckily,as afore mentioned,this moment/thought was
''passing'' and went away.

nope, sorry, i really don't think you could =P unless you
used something that had been preformed to the shape you want
the steam to take, like glass, but then its not that steam
that is the art, its the glass.
