anyone installed winamp 5? if so, how is it? i use 2.91 and have no complaints. what are the reasons for upgrading? |

it's based on the 2.9x code, so it's basicly an updated 2.9x but with new features and wa3 skin support. also, the new default skin is very lovable why don't you guys just try it? |

it's alright. it does load a whole lot fater than 3 did. probably a little slower than 2.91, but hardly noticable on a 1.6ghz p4 / 512mb ram. the fact that it asked me if i wanted an aol icon on my desktop sucked, and, it was checked by default! the skins are ok i guess. moodlogic is pretty swell, but the default skin is too big. my verdict: 100% better than 3, but after using it for 5 minutes, i can't see any compelling reason to upgrade from 2.91 |

Yeah, I guess some bugs have been fixed, so it's probably more a more stable release |

i could. you should be able to use 'em if you think wa5 is a little slower than wa2, then use the w2 skins. it'll be just as fast that way. |
