A fantastic album that flows so well, it really is very
beautiful. I will never ever forget the first time i heard
Kaini Industries.

I knew from then on that Boards of Canada would become one
of my favourite electronic groups ever.

Great album, but if you're in the right.. mood, it can be
quite scary.

My fave album on Warp, probably my fave BoC release too.

My favourite album by anyone in recent years as well.

Still listen to it fairly regularly too.

I put it on VERRY often to begin with. It's still a
fantastic album in my opinion, I just worre it out.

i see...what's with jason this days? still doing braindance?

Are we discussing the same Jason? hehe

Jason Donovan is probably in the Rocky Horror Show (or doing
something of that nature) to pay the bills.

Now his chum Kylie on the other hand...!

But anyway, your thoughts on MHtRtC?

:)

huh, i totally forgot its one of these threads ...should i
report me to mods myself?

my favourite tune on mhtrtc is most likely aquarius - so
beautiful...

I love "An Eagle in Your Mind" on this release... probably
my second favourite boc track. Almost every track on this
album is fantastic, it manages to be so well put together
that you seldom skip a track, yet on the other hand, the
individual tracks stand out so much that people know each
track/name seperately too.

And "An Eagle in Your Mind" just got to be the best
trackname ever.

I love this album but i think that the tracks are all very
standalone whereas with geogaddi the whole album greater
outweighs the individual tracks.

I still haven't heard this album, is it worth it to
download? and what can you compare it to.

Yes it's worth the download and i'll be annoying and say it
sounds like boc because that's what it sounds like.

I love it like my first born. I love Geogaddi more though,
it's got a certain magnetism for me, it's like, as soon as I
hear the first chord of the first track ("ready lets go")
I'm transported to "that place" you know the one.....
without fail. MHTRTC doesn't flow like Geogaddi, it's a
similar difference between Lifeforms & Dead Cities & again,
Lifeforms would be my choice out of those two.

offline boket from Australia on 2003-10-27 20:23 [#00921244]

Still not quite sure why, but MHTRTC never really had a huge
impact on me. It wasn't till I heard the Beautiful Place EP
and Geogaddi that I truly enjoyed BoC.

And even now, going back and listening in retrospect, I
can't get too thrilled by MHTRTC. For me, Geogaddi seems to
mine the same vein to much greater effect.

Amnesiac, mate If I were you I'd be searching e-bay for
Geogaddi, It really does contain the stuff that dreams are
made of...... atleast my dreams anyway

MP3's don't do this album justice, you always end up
listening to one or two tracks while the others are still
downloading & therefore missing out on the fuller flavour.
Think of this album as one long evolving track. But hey, why
should I really give a damn...... you do what you like 8)

Telephasic workshop, Open the Light and Olson do it for me,
and most of the songs except for Rue the Whirl. I hate thid
goddamn song.

I tend to buy albums that are really good by this crew's
reckoning, but I like value in my purchases whenever
possible.

It's THAT LONG?

Wow. I always the plethora of short songs, a few 'long' ones
and thought, 'jeez, it ain't that long'.

That's a cool surprise

i love the album, but i tend to ignore the longer tracks
towads the end. i like geogaddi better tho, as people have
said it has a flow, to me it feels alive, whereas mhtr2c is
full of stand alone tracks....

gotta love roygbiv, aquarius, telephasic worksop, khani
industries....

I listened to the whole album last night before going to

concentrate on the music.
