There's also (uncomfirmed) rumours that BOC have been asked
to headline Coachella in April 04 as well...

A new BoC album in 2004 would be the bringer of much joy and
bliss.

thats awesome that yr dad is into boc!!!

my mom tends to like stuff more like beck and radiohead, but
she digs some of my stuff, and i can tell its not just
mom-flattery by the smile.

you can just tell when parents mean it.

new album from BoC will be the same like two last ones ,
twoism and Geoddadi. I cant really say what is so amazing in
this band , the only thing i like is MHTRTC and one track
from In a beautiful place... tWoism and Geo are the same to
me - im getting bored with their old synths , child
voices...they should be more innovative ,
but i will check new album when its gonna be at stores.
maybe this time they will proceed with their music ...who
knows ?

which will probably be even more boring.

purlieu, i just listened to some soundclips of your band and
had a good laugh.

and lest we forget, this is a guy who put a Travis album in
his "top twenty albums of 2003 so far".

I do not think that they are any good any more. They had
that one cool horse and they beat it to death and they
cannot locate another horse.

I have 3 of their releases, but I don't find them to be
particularly great. It's just synth, drumloop, warped
childrens voices and me yawning over the top. Of course this
doesn't apply to all tracks (I find their short
interludes to be the best thing about their music) but on
the whole I don't really find them very interesting. Hi
Scores (excluding Turqouise Hexagon Sun) and Twoism make me
cringe...

I do, however, love several parts of Geogaddi, and I think
the IABPOITC E.P. is a good release.

BoC are the best. there is not ONE release of their's that
doesn't strike a nerve with me.

i'm sure whatever they release will be great, and
appreciated by the people who still like them. if you are
bored with BoC, don't buy their record and try to ruin
everyone else's bliss.

boc it awesome, i just hope they do try something
innovative. its one thing to do something and do it better
than anybody else (in boc's case, illbient), but its another
to branch out and try something different and just blow
people's minds

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2003-10-25 11:17 [#00917903]

basically they put something new out every couple years and
it's usually a let down

geogaddi wasn't so good

the use of the word "illbient" when describing boc is enough
to make me want to crush my own hands

offline hedphukkerr from mathbotton (United States) on 2003-10-25 11:19 [#00917908]

i personally really like geogaddi, possibly because it was
the first boc album i ever heard, most stuff ive heard by
most idm artists isnt a let down to me just because ive only
recently (read: past year or so) discovered the whole realm
of this music

offline nlogax from oh, you must be the brains (Norway) on 2003-10-25 11:20 [#00917912]

I read somewhere that this release is supposed to be their
most original yet, and that it's all new material.

Anyway, I think it'll be dope.

Archrival: How do you conclude BOC is the most interesting
electronic act, when their style hasn't changed much for
three albums? Whether you like it or not, I don't get how
it's more interesting than other artists who change
constantly and surprise us...

the use of that word any time makes me want to do the
same... it's such a retarded word!
