IE6/winXP question

What controls the size of a new browser window, when doing
normal surfing? Say I click on a link, the new window is
350x350 or something (it used to be alot bigger). Now, if I
stretch it out (not maximize button) then it will remember
the new size for the next click. I just don't know what
caused it to change into a smaller size. Some page I visited
or what?

Is the new window size completely in the hands of the
website's creator? But that can't be correct either since
some or most sites adapt to whatever was before.

hope this isn't too confusing..Help! This tiny new window is
driving me nuts. I usually always open links with
Rightclick->open in a new window.

Jesus, just get mozilla and open links in a new tab
of the same window. It also has mouse gestures, popup
blocking, and none of the mess of security holes IE has. Why
on earth does anyone still use IE?

But to answer your question, yes the window size can be
defined by scripting on a website but if it isn't there's
probably a default value in the registry which I don't
recommend looking for.

My point is, there is no default. It just goes after what
was before. Something sets the new values.

Suggesting another browser eh? That's original. Now all we
need is the Opera user here too.

IT's just poor microsoft coding. Hence me now using Mozilla
Firebird. It's a lot quicker. I'd wait ages for a page in IE
but in Mozilla it loads in a matter of seconds rather than
minutes.

Agreed on Mozilla firebird. Couldn't live without it after
trying.
