no, to me, now, it makes no rreal differrence, but i think
it's pathetic that the govt. would do something like that.

don't forrget, smoking is not a crrime, but you arre made to
feel like a crriminal because you want to smoke something
you have everry rright to smoke.

just ban them rright out.

I'm all for it, for selfish purposes. I don't want that shit
anywhere near me.

Cigarettes are such nasty little devils. I'm glad they're
around though, it weakens others' lungs and yellows their
teeth, which puts me at an advantage, being as clean as a
whistle.

In Canada, they plaster pictures of cancerous lungs, dead
babies, gum disease, rotting corpses, diseased penises and
decapitated heads on all the cigarette packages, it's
disgusting.

And that's why I'd rratherr just see them banned, it would
make people quit forr theirr own good. Don't just dump them
in a corrnerr like second class citizens.

If you ban them outright, they'll be alot of smugglers armed
with uzis sneaking them in from other countries or
something. Better to just keep on segregating them!

serve food its banned there. Beer and a smoke goes perfect
together, even after a meal. But I'm not so angry, it just

i'd be happy, its sick that people are allowed to smoke in
bars and restaurants. I hate having to breathe in smoke from
someone nearby smoking. If they want lung cancer, fine, I
dont have a problem with that, it's just when I have to
breathe it in when i'm at a bar with my mates, eugh. hate
it.

Ahhh, dont fight with the man Oddioblender. I do agree. Even
if there is smoking sections the smoke still accumulates.

I think they are slowing making something that was socially
acceptable into just making it extinct. Before you can sit
in a theatre and light a fag, now people shun those who
smoke-which i dont blame them it is definetly a health
hazzard. There are other places to smoke then at restaurant,
like on a hammock in my make believe beautiful back yard :D

I can't say I would be in the slightest bit bothered if
smoking in public was banned. That shit stinks and fucks you
up. If you want to smoke, piss off home and do it.

If you were out having a meal in a restaurant and I came
over and just started talking in your ear and wouldn't go
away, you would be pissed off. Smoke is just as annoying yet
somehow somkers get treated differently.

While they're at it, they can ban beggars and charity
collectors from public places too.

It seems to me that when your in a crowd and there are only
one or two smokers they're always real polite and ask
whether their smoking is bothering anyone and so on. If
they're in the majority however they rarely give a damn
about the one or two non-smokers who are slowly asphixiating
in the corner. bastards :(

Smoking in public should never be banned...and as or people
getting less considerate, I think it is the opposite, people
are becoming more selfish. I'll smoke if I want to, I
wouldn't expect some woman to stop wearing a certain type of
perfume because I didn't like it...so you lot can breath in
my ciggie smoke once in a while.

they just voted on having smoking banned in all public

they voted unanimously to ban it, so i dunno. it fucking
sucks..
mostly because i wont be able to smoke any cigarettes at
school, which is when i usually need cigarettes the most.
bah
but really, im all for smoking sections in restaurants being
in closed off areas etc, etc, etc. but completely banning
smoking cigarettes in public is wack as shit

seems strange that people would look at a pack of
cigarettes, see 'smoking kills' and want to buy it... i've
tried one cigarette just to see what it was like and I
concluded you must be pretty stupid, suicidal or desperate
to be 'cool' to want to smoke.

You know almost for sure if you smoke for your whole life
you'll end up with lung cancer or something, is that what
people want? You don't actually gain anything from smoking.
My uncle is seriously ill now because of smoking but he
started when they didn't know about the dangers. People now
know about the dangers and what do they do??

Anyway i'm all for people thinking for themselves but when
people are easily led at young age maybe the age restriction
should be put up to 18? I doubt it would make any difference
though... maybe they should just ban them altogether.

fuck that, smoking SHOULD be banned in every public place...
back home in Newfoundland it is, and good thing... I don't
mind people smoking at home or outside, but when I go to a
public restaurant or something, I shouldn't have to slow
kill myself by breathing in second hand smoke... that's the
thing with smoking... when people smoke around others, their
second hand smoke is really harmful, it's basically just
like me getting punched in the face... it's not right to
punch someone, and everyone knows this, so why should I have
to breath in second hand smoke? If people want to slowly
kill themselves, fine... but I really have a problem if I
have to breath in their smoke...

here in the netherlands people smoke everywhere... and it
really annoys me... it's fucking gross!

and smoking sections in most restaurants don't do shit... at
home in Newfoundland I worked in a Burger King a few eyars
ago just before smoking was banned in public places, and
they had the restaurant divided up into a smoking and non
smoking section... but the place was tiny, so what good did
it do? None...

they're bringing in a law banning smoking in pubs &
restaurants here in Ireland.

I'm vehemently opposed to it; although I'm not a smoker,
although I have smoked, and i think it's the right of every
citizen to be able to sit down with a pint and a cigarette
and enjoy them.

It's disgustingly American: this interference by the
government in how we live our lives.
