Last I heard there was no conclusive proof the secondary
smoking is harmful.

If I want to smoke, and others don't then I have to respect
their wishes and tell them to fuck off for 5 minutes while I
have a cigarette...I am always polite enough to tell them I
am going to smoke though to give them an opportunity to
leave.

i'd love to see them introduce that shit in the west of
scotland. there would be fucking rioting in the streets.
that's the problem with new york and dublin and all those
shitty places. the people are apathetic fucking layabouts.
get on the fucking streets and protest. fight the fucking
power. remember - we stopped you lot getting the poll tax.

obviously everyone who smokes says that it's their right,
and everyone who doesn't says it's there right not to have
to breath in second hand smoke...

correct me if I'm wrong, but this has basically only been
done so that people don't have to breath in smoke at a place
where they have to be... ie on the job... if a person is a
non smoker, and has to work in a place where others smoke,
they can't very well get away from it... I stand by my
opinion... I have no problems with people smoking... other
people can do what they want... but where second hand smoke
does have harmful effects on people, I don't think that
people who don't smoke should have to deal with that in a
public place... it's not like beer or anything... people
drinking beer doesn't have any negative effects on the
people around them... but smoking does...
