Mississippi Burning when the church is burnt down by the
klan...I thought that was powerful stuff.

Also a film called Strapped where Bamboo shoots a little
girl.

the openning scene for matrix (1). no matter how
over-talked-about matrix gets, no scene has ever made me
almost pee my pants

Anything without David Spade in it...those scenes are miles
above anything "short, ugly and unfunny" has ever done...

i can't stop thinking about the car factory scene in
Minority Report when Anderton blasts his pursuers away with
the sonic stungun. the rest of the movie is pretty boring
though.

no wonder you just said 'discuss!' in your first post ;)
i saw it again recently, way to melodramatic with that
precog chick.
not much going on in that movie, me thinks

oh, oh!

i also like the scene in Dr. Strangelove where that one
captain goes to the phone booth in the office and tries to
call the President, but has no change. so he asks the
colonol to shoot the lock off the nearby vending machine.
the colonol shoots it and change is pouring out and he get's
sprayed with soda, and says to the captain, "you know
what'll happen if you don't call the President? you'll have
to answer to the Coca-Cola company."

that made me laugh aloud.

*spoilage*

1. the ending of donnie darko, from the
point where the engine falls on him to the end when the girl
waves, then the mother, then the boy.

2. the last scene in heat when vincent
kills neil at the airport.

3. the part in snatch when mickey lays out
gorgeous george with one punch, then golden brown starts
playing and tommy starts crying.

American Beauty,
when Kevin.S catches his wife with another lover at the
drive though he comes out with the line.
"You don't get to tell me what to do ever again"
damm it felt good when I heard that!

p.s oh yeah, H.E.A.T has too many good scenes to mention,
brilliant

i liked the scene in Bringing out the Dead when it flashes
back to when Nicholas Cage is remembering the little girl
die, the one that keeps haunting him.

I can always picture the snow falling upwards in that
surreal way. I believe this movie to be one of Scorceses
best.

the speech to that scene was so refreshing, instead of going
on on how much ugliness there's in the world talking about
so much beauty, i cried my eyes out to that
:*)
