Well, I met with a guy from the new radio station in my
city last night. I applied to host a weekly, IDM radio show
(the station is not on the air yet, probably in November). I
got to go see the studio location (which is awesome) and I
got to go out and see his studio (he does video art)...
fuckin amazing place he's
got. He lives in an old bank.. he's got a vault and
everything. his place in UNREAL.

Anyhow, he gave me a copy of the full version of the
automation software thats going to be used, introduced me to
people as 'the guy that's going to be doing the idm show',
so i guess that's a sure thing. I hooked him up with
everything off my Archos MP3 player, he said he wants to use
that combined with his 100 gig collection as the stations
regular rotation stuff.. then he made fun of my The Smiths
albums hehe..

So yeah, I was leaving and he started talking to me about
jobs. he asked if i was looking for anything in town, (right
now I work 60 miles out of town as the complaint department
of a tax software company). so anyways, he asked me if i
would be interested in being Station Manager for the
place! It's the only paying position available out there, as
it is a community radio station, being run by volunteers. I
would be runnig the show... callin the shots even. The
salary is less than what I make now. But i do get benefits
like full medical coverage. He also said there is plenty of
pportunity for me to make more money for myself through
fundraisers.

He said the deadline for applicants is over and there are 4
people in the running now. He doesn't really like any of
them because they either have no radio experience, or lots
of experience and are squares.. so. the final decision isn't
entirely up to him, but he said to get him my resume ASAP
and he'll make it nicer and submit it to the others.

fuck.

I took the day off to do a sweet resume.

wish me luck!

Best of luck pomme, that sounds like an excellent job! Just
