Broadcast - Haha Sound

Well, it's a brilliant new album from Broadcast! The sound
is really far out, metallic and reverb-drenched, it
generates images of 'vintage futurism', at least in my head.
The tunes are really very strong as well, all through the
album. One of my immediate favorites are the extreemly cute
little song "Lunch hour pop". Rrrrrrecommended!

Well I don't have "The noise made by people", but I'm
definitely getting that too after hearing this album...

hey I bought this yesterday... I have to admit, I was not
expecting this style... this was so far off from what I was
expecting that after the first song I turned it off in
disgust... I had no idea really what to expect... you see,
the music situation here where I live is so bad that anytime
I see a cd from a label like Warp, I'll buy it regardless...
so that's basically why I bought it, but I had no idea what
to expect... but yeah, it's sounds really nice... very
melodic and pretty...

It reminds me of Stereolab.

"The Noise Made by People" is much better than "Haha Sound",
methinks.

But their best album so far is "Work and Non-work".

Get both if you can...

this record rules... easily one of my favourite rock records
from last year (definitely the best pop album... if you can
call it that)... plus i find the vocalist very sexy, which
is cool because i can't think of that many female artists
whose work i enjoy that i am legitimately infatuated with...

i need to feel this group... they kinda remind me of the
lo-fi ness of mbv mixed with like stereolab or something.

i just havent been able to REALLY get down with it yet.
