I'm in upstate new york right now, and I guess its going to
head right for us and be here by friday (with much
diminished power, of course) but will nevertheless inflict
heavy rain and wind. Woohoo!

as i licked my lips.

brutal weather, i think i saw a leaf scuttle from the wind.
ran home when i saw that i did.

I saw a guy reporting live, and this girl literally FLEW
past the screen and he had to go drop everything and go run
and save her in 80MPH winds.

I laughed, but only briefly... she was going FAST, man! She
was wearing a big windbreaker (hehe) jacket, which kind of
acted like a sail. She's probably in Europe by now.

hurricane conditions!

i'm here, dogg. a lot of tree branches are on the ground but
no real wind today and no rain (yet). it was raining most of
yesterday. i don't think we got much of the hurricane but
i'm sure my house right outside of DC looks worse (i'm near
harrisburg, PA at the moment).

I am in Harrisburg. Had to drive in the super intense rain
last night. That was pretty nuts it was really hard to see
anything plus dodging tree branches and even whole trees.
It wasn't too bad, though, no one lost their roof or
anything.

There are several people without power/water though. I
think we are fortunate enough to still have those services
although some of my co-workers were not.

i drove last night, it didn't seem TOO bad but there was
lower visibility than usual; i missed two of my turns and
i'd never missed one before here.

my dorm room lights have flicked 3 or 4 times, i wonder if
i'm using generator power now.

i am DIRECTLY in the center of that shit right now. driving
home sucked because i had to get out of my car about 5 times
and move shit off of the road. that's how bad it was. my
jacket is still soaked.

Hurricane Juan hit Nova Scotia yesterday, blasted the SHIT
out of Halifax. The ''City of Trees'', and now half of them
are uprooted. My aunt's yard was decimated.

Lucky, they all have no school this week though.
