i use it.. sometimes it does crash but usually when you
reopen it it'll recover the file, which is nice

your .ses file may be corrupted or too complicated

spose all you can really do is try opening the file on
another computer with CEP on it.

of course that means you will have to copy all of yer waves
to the 2nd computer and put them in the same directories,
but i guess you dont need all of them, the CEP on the 2nd
computer should just popup saying a few files are missing.

is there any way to exclude certain wavs previously saved as
being part of a session before opening it?>

Cool Edit Pro is now Adobe Audition - Adobe bought
Syntrillium's flagship product. CEP is no more, but lives on
as Adobe Audition.

if I uninstall and reinstall the program.. that won't affect
any of the ses files I have right? (stupid/paranoid
question)

If you want to exclude certain WAVs the just move them. It
will ask where they are. Just tell it to skip them.

I do that but it eventually pauses and shuts down after
apologizing for the inconvenience

Is there anyway to get Audition to give me back the CoolEdit
functionality of the right mouse button?

RMB used to allow me to change waveform selections, now it
opens a crappy menu.

Try opening the .ses in notpad and see if the files are
present there... Or simply rename (in explorer) the wav
that you believe is causing the problem so that CEP2 doesn't
open it.
