Actually, this might actually turn out in their advantage as they can now fully focus on the title (The UEFA cup is a mere consolidation cup anyway). The other top contenders are still active in the european competitions with high hopes (except for Depor of course who's return match will only be a formality). |

i watched the replay of monaco-real and as sad as i am for real, im kind of happy for monaco. madrid couldn't have lost against a nicer team...i liked dechamps when he was a player and morientes was my favourite madrid player before zidane and ronaldo joined... + the totally deserved it, to get 5 goals and still win is pretty great imo...and they didn't give up even when they were 3 golas behind...i wouldn't mind if they win the cup. |
