haahah A.I sucks so much...
last night i resaw independance day....
and a cool short film about a guy losing the notion of time,
like a groundhog day under acid...it was fine

A.I. is a great movie - few seem to agree though...

Last movie... Anger Management, and it was ok but not great.
The football stadium scene towards the end was corny I had
to hide behind a pillow. Yuck.

A.I. is so fucking LONG !!!
it is its principal problem... i mean the aliens at the end
is so damn ridiculous, plus i could kill the little boy
actor (along with the harry potter one, wanna burn them to
the bones)

T3 and what a load of shit that was. It was too derivative,
boring and shallow. It seems hollywood is only interested in
special fx and big tits nowadays. If only they invested the
same amount of money on the actual story and plot, oh well,
wishful thinking! :s

I am downloading the hollywood classic "Ben Hur" right now -
imagine such a film coming out of hollywood nowadays...
Wait... Lord of the Rings, is that a hollywoodian
production?

offline occfactor from Helsinki (Finland) on 2003-08-28 03:34 [#00839805]

LOTR is a hollywood production yes. That movie is actually
pretty damn good imho, so all hope is not lost just yet:)
It's a good illustration of what can be achieved with both
amazing special fx and a brilliant story. But since the
story was written ages ago by Tolkien, you can't really give
hollywood credit for that, heh :)

Naw, they're evolved android things or whatever. That's how
they can see everything that's in the kid's memory. I
thought AI was alright, the ending was of course atrocious.

Lost Highway, damn that films fucked up!!

I quite liked AI, but I thought it should have ended when
the kid was trapped in the ship underwater, that would've
made a great ending. Im interested in knowing if what comes
after that bit was in Kubricks original script or if it was
bodged on the end by Spielberg, anyone know?

offline glass_eater from a blind nerves area (Switzerland) on 2003-08-28 03:46 [#00839818]

i think Spielberg should have never touch the script at
all... but since i didnt like eyes wide shut neither
(comparted to all the other Kubriks movies) i dont know its
possible theyr both responsible

my favorite movies, I'll only watch a few times before I
never want to see them again. Next up, the Metropolis anime,
when it finishes downloading.

I watched The Two Towers last on video... last movie I saw
in theatre was Tomb Raider which sucked...

The Two Towers was awesome though... I saw it in theatre,
but watching it again was great... not as good as the first
one imo, cause the first one was the introduction to all
this crazy, excellent shit, yet it was still excellent... I
SOOOOO can't wait to see The Return of the King...

I just rented Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and will
watch that in a bit...
