I'm reading this book now - I'm just over two-thirds of the
way through, and it really is an American Classic. I watched
the television series during Summer Holidays as a kid, so
many of the scenes are already familiar to me. At times the
book has made me laugh out loud - the other on the bus to
work, for one. It's just so full of charm and innocence and
wisdom. If you haven't read it yet, really do.
