Who here smokes cigarettes?

I do, and I REALLY want to stop. I'm only 17 and I've been
smoking for almost a year now and want to stop immensly.
Any advice?

Try substituting your oral fixation with an anal fixation
(smoke the cigarettes with your anus instead of your mouth).
This is how many people have been able to quit because the
smoke does not enter your lungs this way and eventually you
are weened off the nicotine.

HAHAHAHA

wmw, mwm, qrter, whoever you are,
you're a funny cat.

hey kiddo, I've been smoking for about (holy shit, has it
really been...) FIVE GODDAMN years now, sorry, that just
seems like longer than it is.
dang that's depressing.
anyway, here's my suggestion:
zyban.
the shit works

or else, just grin and bear it. if you really want to quit,
there's no action involved... just a lack thereof.
it takes three days clinically to loose yourself of the
physical addiction.
the rest is all in your heeeeead

this reminds me of the simpsons episode where bart gets
caught stealing and the store detective says:
"if i wanted smoke blown up my ass,
i'd be at home with a pack of cigarettes and a short length
of hose."

I don't think I've seen that one, I just remember the
episode where homer makes bart smoke a whole wharehouse of
cigarettes to teach him a lesson NOT to smoke them, then
some guy comes along and says he looks sophisticated with a
cigarette, heh heh. I want to buy all the episodes on ebay
someday.

I started smoking this year for a few months. Then decided
to quit, and it was no problem for me because A. I felt sick
often, sometimes i vomited.
B. Bad taste in mouth C. Waste of money D. Bad for health

quit while you can. you have only been smoking for a year so
the addiction hasn't become TOO strong.

It's not like it's EASY, though!
I've "quit smoking" about eight times now. I still smoke is
all.

I mean I HATE smoking now. It's expensive as all hell, and
dirty and impractical and (in THIS godforsaken city, puritan
USA) socially awkward, and TERRIBLE for you-- and zillions
of bright, levelheaded people still do it... cos we're all
pathetic, helpless addicts.

dang, now I want to quit.
let's quit smoking kid. fucking stupid habit.

I smoke the occasional clove because I really like the
taste. I don't inhale the smoke though because I know two
people who have had collapsed lungs because of smoking
cloves.

You should quit. That shit's not good for you.

i like the taste of them too.. kinda cinnamony or gingery or
something..

but damn.. collapsed lungs?
do these people smoke real cigarettes too, and do you think
that inhaling cloves is somehow worse?

been smoke'n since i was 14..
so about 12 years now..
i have quit a few times.
twice for about 6 month periods.
i didnt use anything but will power to quit.

try to stay away from places where you usualy smoke for a
while..
like drinking alcohol.
coz a cig a beer go hand in hand.
also if you are a coffee drinker try to stop drinking that
for a few days while you are trying to quit.
or make ice coffee instead coz you can drink that quickly
and dont need a cig to wash it down with..

or just keep smoking and enjoy it.

smoking cloves is really bad for you, but the thing is clove
smokers don't smoke as many cigarettes as regular smokers.

kinda like people that tell you pot is worse for your lungs
than cigs... but I smoked like a packaday at one point..
imagine smoking 20 joints a day..shit god DAMN.

-----------------------------------------------
* Tobacco not harmful,
say Goliath Health Chiefs *

"Don't kick the habit - have a ciggy!" Is the slogan for
next Tuesday's 'Try a cigarette' day. Following the report
from Goliath Health Chiefs that tobacco is actually very
good for you, thousands are taking the opportunity to share
in the life-enhancing properties of tobacco.
"I was sceptical too," said Health Chief O'Grady, drawing on
a cigarette, "but having studied all the evidence, I have to
admit that we have been wrong all along. For years it has
been suspected that tobacco, or more particularly, the tar,
carbon monoxide and other trace elements within the
cigarette attack the body in all manner of ways, causing
emphysema, cancer, and a whole host of appalling illnesses.
From extensive research we have concluded that tobacco
actually helps these conditions, not causes them, and we are
particularly interested in seeing tobacco as a preventative
medicine used from an early age."

Quite how young a child ought to be encouraged to take up
smoking is not quite clear, but is dependent upon other
factors, such as availability of pocket money. "Children are
being denied basic healthcare by parents too mean to ensure
they can buy tobacco products," said Mr Wentworth of the
Goliath Tobacco Division, "Personally, I find it
irresponsible, and it displays the sort of poor parental
care that we see all too often these days."
Unwashed and ill educated opposition groups who claim that
Goliath's amazing findings are 'tainted' by corporate profit
margins have been shown the surprise findings of last year's
study on Carbon Dioxide emissions, which proved conclusively
that CO2 build-up is actually good for the environment.

lol.
