FUCKED UP!

I spent the whole weekend looking forward to this. This was
my thing for the weekend. The sound people fucked it
up. Tom got seriously fucking stressed out at them. When he
finally got a mic he layed into them big style. In a 1 hour
set he must've played about 4 fucking tunes in total. He did
do a massive Bass solo though for the last part of the set.
Fuck man, I was so stoked that I was seeing Squarepusher and
the ineptitude of Smirnoff practically fucking ruined it. I
took pictures and hopefully they've come out.

I hope his Bass is alright. It took some punishment....

I can't really remember mate.

Off the top of my head.

Primal Scream, Metallica, Linkin Park, Sum 41, Lamb,
Mixologists, Beck, Blur, The Darkness, BRMC, AFI and others.
I really can't remember at this time.

Shame man, a few of my friends went to see him play live in
Reading. Haven't reported back to me yet.

I saw him live at Ocean. His stuff was bit fooked. he played
some killer tracks though and a blinding bass solo amongst
most of the stuff. I will always remeber a few things from
that night:

1) one of the Ladyton girls looking at me after i said
ladytron rule and smiling

2) Plaid's DJ set

3) When i shouted out "Squarepusher's the fucking daddy" he
looekd at me and laughed and went 'Wayhey!!!" and it was
fuckign great

4) Him playing the acid bits to Diomontone Co. on his bass

5) The end of his set, standing by his equipment, shrugging,
calling it a wanker and then breaking into "A journey to
Reedham (7am mix) straight off

I'd never heard of Ladytron but caught the end of their set
and was well impressed. I shouted the exact same thing mate.
Sort of got a response as such. I was being fucking loud.

Yeah I was there. It was annoying that the sound wasnt
working but I still thought he was amazing. At least he got
Come On My Selector out ok before the PA lost it again, that
track sounded great where I was. And it was cool when he
rinced the technicians, he was fucking angry. "Ooh I'm
really enjoying this, this sounds great!" The last twenty
minutes must have been bass solos, I was just grinning
through it.

As for the rest of Reading, Amon Tobin did a set on Friday
which was excellent. Death In Vegas were really good too.
Hiiyyooo!

I still enjoyed it an it was great to see him going at that
Bass like a demon I just wish that Smirnoff had got their
fucking act together more. Come on my Selector did sounds
fucking awesome when he got it out.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Where were you
standing Dann_?

Giginger - I was up at the front in the middle, maybe very
slightly to the right.

Phresch - He did sort of do Dimotane Co... the noise bit at
the beginning kind of started playing by accident I think
while The Mixologists (the previous act) were still trying
to DJ and then the beat came in and the DJ just gave up.

Did you have to stand through about an hour of drum n bass
to earn your spot or were you a latecoming pushing bastard
cunt like some of the people there?

A bit of both. I got there about 20/30 minutes early.
Watched a couple having sex for a bit then started making my
way to the front. Filling in gaps as people moved away or if
there was a large one. Then when that bloke finally
left the stage and a load of people left I walked to the
front and took my place :D

I earned my spot but then some guy came pushing through
after Squarepusher was on so I told him to fuck off, but
later I saw him enjoying two attractive blondes
simultaneously, and he'd got closer to the stage than I was
somehow, hence I hate him. I assume he wasn't you.

You're correct in assuming it wasn't me. Hate away dann_,
hate away.

Glastonbury.
Aphex Twin took the piss though. I want him to bend over,
kiss my dick, then tie my laces
