I thought it was inappropriate to put this in the same post about cabbog. What did I do? Well, major studio cleanout. Sold my akai Sampler, bought an A4000 sampler, and lots of other stuff moved into and out of my studio. owww, and do check my -C- |

I posted a link in the beginning, and I think there still is a link to my MP3 stuff in my profile. I make something that lies in the middle of techno, ambient, IDM and electro. And I am heavily influenced by death metal bands. Not the sounds, but the riffs they use. And the fast drums (blastbeats, the double kicks) I try to give my turn to that kind of rhythm. It can be that the Death metal beats I hear inspire me to make rattling more effect like beats. I had a major switch in the studio. Got rid of: Korg Prophecy Novation A-station Crumar Bit one Akai S3000xl my old spirit F1 16 mixer clavia micro modular and what came back: yamaha A4000 nord modular mackie 16 mono channel mixer Damn all my holiday money is gone now :( |

yea, you've replaced the micro modular for his bigger brother. i've only worked with the micro and that was really nice to work with. did you know the prodigy uses three (or even more) nord modulars. |

I didnt but I can understand why :D Needless to say I cant wait pluggin it into 4 mono channels on my mixer :D I'm thinking to use it also as an FX machine. If you use 2 audio in and 2 audio out, you can use it as A filterbank on your mix. I'm thinking about doing that too, as an experiment. Also nice to do when using it on your end sound: Use the digitizer and twist the know to put your bitrate down from 48 KHz to just 1 KHz :D I love that machine! |
