 | Why doesn't any artists combine modern electronic music with old tribe music; africa, inca, aboriginal....? Wouldn't
 that be way too cool?

Please let me know your thoughs on this or maybe even
suggest similiar music on this "new" genre. (Don't mention
 AFX/Digeridoo please).

What's even better, send me your own stuff with these
 influcenes.

Electribe is the way to go!!!

 | hmm not my thing i guess
i prefer raw electronic music, don't like it when it gets
too jazzy either for example (although i gotta admit the 2
tracks on vsnares' badminton release are quite good)

 | To be honest, BoC is pretty close to this with their folklore/electronic vibes.

Aboriginal instruments are way too cool to ignore.

 | that sounds like a interesting combination.. i've done a few tracks using my friend's congo/bongo drums
but it hardly classifies it as tribal..

this reminds me, it's kinda unrelated, but,
i was listening to a newer sepultra cd i ordered for the
hell of it, as part of a "10 cds for free" album club
thingy.. "against" it was called.. i know it's not
electronic at all really.. it's more like bad metal mixed
with some "tribal" sounds and instruments that are
relatively unused in most of the non-explorative crap that
gets called metal today .. but hey.. it's different.. some
of the tracks with those instruments are really good..
there's songs with congo, bongo, cello, djembe, timbales,
berimbau, udu, mandolin, sitar, theremin and many
interesting "tribal" percussion sounds.. maybe worth
 checking out
