A solid hour may not seem like much to you music makers out
there, but considering that (with the ridiculous amount of
stress and depression I've been undergoing) I've been unable
to properly work for around 3 or 4 months, it's a long time.
And believe me, this was a pretty dedicated hour.

There I was, finely tuning the delay on a sample and the
program began to stutter. This happens a lot, so I
thought it would calm down.

Guess what. Up comes a blue screen, down comes Fruity. There
I am, staring open-mouthed at my desktop. Some of the best
results I'd seen from myself musicwise in an eternity and
it's all snatched from under my nose in the space of a few
moments.. And all I had to do was save it every few minutes.

I'm ready to fucking give up.

If I worked on tracks more regularly I wouldn't be so
annoyed. But it takes so much effort (and influence) to get
me to pull myself together. It took months for me to get
back into this.

It's like returning back to your hometown and finding out
everyone hates you, then attacks you with blue screens.

yeah, so maybe there's worse fates in the world.. but I feel
yoiur pain as well. Happened to me with Buzz a week or two
ago and I was about to cry. Give it time to dissipate..
you'll feel like throwing in the towel but eventually you'll
look back on the track you made and think. Ah shucks.. it
sounded good then but I can do better. :*)

that sux,
when i lose tracks that way i always try to remake it the
way i remember it sounding but it never sounds the same.
sometimes it sounds better though... and well.. sometimes it
sounds shit.

had that happen to me before. it kind of forces you to take
different directions in your music, maybe subtle at first,
but after a while you realize you could never reproduce that
sound again.

sad really.....:*(

Yeah, it's not as if it was a percussive rhythm (which can
always be bettered), it was all intricate
granulizing, pitchbending and that kind of shit. There will
be no repeat.

I've had a dry spell for several months now. I know the
feeling. Though I have made 150 or so trakcs (most suck) I
feel I've run out of creativety, but I still try.

ouch, that always sucks.. no matter how often you save..that
sort of thing always happens the one time you become too
enthralled in what your doing and forget.
the frustration is enough to make you throw your computer
out the window and ruin your mood for the day, but sometimes
once i've calmed down enough to start again, i've ended up
making an even better track.

well.. i havent made anything good lately. it never gets any
longer then 1 minute.. after that i just dont know how to
continue....

but yeah, it sucks when fruity crashes (with me it crashes
an average 3 times a week.. not really bad..)

just save a lot.. thats all that helps
