my boy noam just emailed me.

I was asking his endorsement of my iraqi revival fund.. and
that he provide his insights for the info section of the
website (or at least give his permission to use excerpts
from his essays/lectures)
he sent me a few articles and links to interviews/essays he
has on the web. real cool.

I'll be providing the link to the website once it's finished
and once the fund itself is established and I get the go
ahead from the foundation that is umbrella-ing this project

I'll be attending my university's school of diplomacy and
international relations beginning in september.. and I'd
always had the idea of establishing a revival fund for what
was once iraq .. as a way of doing my part u know? like
people are sent out to die on our side.. meanwhile they dont
know the bigger picture.. or what exactly it is they're
fighting for.. and rather than engage in silent protest..
I'd rather do something constructive w/ my
anti-administration vitriol .. slap my govt in the face and
provide for our "enemy" (of course, they're not enemies of
ours) everything that the flag and the cross raped from
them.. that's my intent at least

this fund is to be funded solely by the citizens of the us..
or anywhere else actually.. basically the voiceless masses
that never wanted any part in this war.. it's like an
apology for my country.. we'll clean this up for you..

hope it works out. what with the homeland security network
setup now, they'll probably brand you terrorist and send you
off to some steelwire cage without notifying your family and
without legal defence.

Good Luck though!

maybe with the $20 you might actually get someone to donate,
you can buy them a copy of SAW 1.. well good luck with your
idea

actually no.. I had to apply for tax exemption status for
this fund.. because the money I've already received exceeded
expectations..

Teehee every time I see his name I think of the cartoon
where Space Moose stabs the time traveler and takes his time
belt...

"I'm sorry Mrs. Chomsky, we have to abort"

There's some Chomsky spoken word material here if
anyone's interested - you could sign up for the 50 mp3s free
trial and get some, then cancel before the membership kicks
in. (unfortunately the chomsky material is in lots of short
files - beware because the full membership kicks in after
two weeks or if you download your 51st file and then you're
stuck paying)

(I do like Chomsky, really I do, but I still have to giggle
at that Space Moose cartoon, wish it was still online...)

i notice there aren't any "noam chomsky is full of hot air"
essays like there are for michael moore, but then again
moore's a political humorist, not an academe like chomsky
